QIB’s 2018 World Cup winners to leave for Russia next month

DOHA: The 2018 FIFA World Cup package winners, who were selected by Qatar Islamic Bank, Qatar’s leading Islamic Bank, courtesy of Visa, will leave for Russia next month to experience the thrills and excitement of the FIFA World Cup semi-finals on July 10.

The five lucky winners received their prizes last week at QIB’s headquarters at Banks Street in the presence of Bank’s representatives.

The campaign, which lasted over three months, resulted in a total of five winners who have all received a fully paid package to fly to Russia and attend the 2018 FIFA World Cup semi-final match, along with one companion of their choice. These 10 fully paid packages include the airfare cost, deluxe accommodation, tickets for a 2018 FIFA World Cup semi-final match with pre-match hospitality, and a guided tour to the beautiful city of Saint Petersburg, courtesy of Visa.

D Anand, QIB’s General Manager, Personal Banking Group, said, “We are pleased to have five QIB customers participate in 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. This year’s World Cup is very special as it marks the last stop before landing in Qatar in 2022.” He added, “Football has always been a passion for people in Qatar and this region, and there is no doubt that the FIFA World Cup is the biggest, most anticipated football event in the world”.

يتوجه الفائزون بمسابقة «المصرف» (كأس العالم FIFA 2018) التي نظمها مصرف قطر الإسلامي، بالتعاون مع «فيزا»، إلى روسيا الشهر المقبل، ليعيشوا تجربة كروية مثيرة، وهي حضور مباراة نصف النهائي لكأس العالم التي تُقام في 10 يوليو المقبل. وكان الفائزون الخمسة المحظوظون قد تسلّموا جوائزهم الأسبوع الماضي بمقر «المصرف» في شارع البنوك.

وحصل كل فائز من الفائزين الخمسة في هذه الحملة -التي تواصلت على مدى 3 أشهر- على جائزة عبارة عن رحلة مدفوعة التكاليف له ولمرافق اختاره إلى روسيا لحضور مباراة الدور نصف النهائي من بطولة كأس العالم 2018. واشتملت هذه الجوائز العشرة المدفوعة بالكامل على تذاكر السفر جواً، وإقامة فاخرة، وتذاكر لحضور مباراة الدور نصف النهائي لكأس العالم 2018، مع الضيافة قبل المباراة، وجولة سياحية في مدينة سان بطرسبرج، بالتعاون مع «فيزا».

وبهذه المناسبة، قال السيد د. أناند، المدير العام لمجموعة الخدمات المصرفية للأفراد في «المصرف»: «يسعدنا أن يشارك 5 من عملاء المصرف في حضور بطولة كأس العالم (FIFA 2018). تكتسب هذا البطولة العالمية أهمية خاصة؛ وذلك لكونها المحطة الأخيرة قبل وصولها إلى قطر عام 2022. من المعروف جداً أن المواطنين والمقيمين في قطر ودول المنطقة من عشاق كرة القدم، ولا شك أن كأس العالم هي البطولة الأكبر والأكثر تشويقاً على مستوى العالم».;
