Rawdat Rashed Road Fully Open to Traffic & 3rd Phase of Project Complete
إنجاز المرحلة 3 من مشروع تطوير طريق روضة راشد وافتتاح كامل الطريق للمرور
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced the completion of the third phase of Rawdat Rashed Road Development Project, which aimed to provide a safe, highly-developed road to link Salwa Road with Dukhan Highway. The road is now fully open to traffic.
Eng. Ahmed Al-Obaidly, Head of Southern Areas Section at the Roads Projects Department in Ashghal, pointed out that phase 3 of the project involved the construction of a 14-km-long road, extending north from the end of Phase 2 at the new roundabout located north of Rawdat Rashed Village, till Lebsayyer Interchange at Dukhan Highway.
The road includes three lanes in each direction, and is constructed as per the highest engineering standards. In addition, a 3-km long road with two lanes in each direction has been constructed, heading eastward to an existing road that ultimately leads to Al-Sheehaniya area.
Eng. Al-Obaidly added that this phase included the provision of street lighting systems, safety barriers, road signs, pavements and all other services and utilities, which include 29-km long water lines, 31-km long electric cables, 100-km long telecommunications lines, and intelligent transport systems (ITS). The scope of works also involved the construction of 3.6 km of surface water lines, an emergency flooding pond, in addition to new substations.
The 3rd Phase of Rawdat Rashed Road Development Project was implemented by Boom Construction Co. and Lotus Trading and Contracting Co. JV, at a total cost of QAR 384.5 million.
It is worth mentioning that phase 3 is part of the main project aimed to develop Rawdat Rashed Road with a total length of 33 km and three lanes in each direction. Rawdat Rashed Road extends perpendicularly to Salwa Road (north side), bypassing Rawdat Rashed area to Dukhan Highway, which contributes to diverting the traffic away from the residential part of Rawdat Rashed. The project also improves the road capacity by increasing the number of lanes and allocating the right lane for heavy trucks; enhancing the traffic safety. The project will also link the current and future developments with key areas in Qatar.
In October 2016, Ashghal opened phases 1 and 2 of the project at a length of 20 km. Phase 4, which already started in November 2017, will link Rawdat Rashed Road with the existing bridge at the intersection with Salwa Road, where a new bridge will be constructed parallel to the existing one for more traffic capacity. The road will also be connected to the exising bridge on the intersection with Dukhan Highway (Exit no. 42 – Lebsayyer Interchange) and a new bridge will be also constructed to accommodate the expected traffic flows. This phase is scheduled for completion in Q4, 2019.
أعلنت هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن اكتمال تنفيذ الأعمال الإنشائية الخاصة بالمرحلة الثالثة من مشروع تطوير طريق روضة راشد، والتي هدفت إلى توفير طريق متطور وآمن للربط بين طريق سلوى الدولي وطريق دخان السريع، حيث تم افتتاح الطريق بالكامل أمام الحركة المرورية.
وأشار المهندس أحمد العبيدلي، رئيس قسم المناطق الجنوبية بإدارة مشاريع الطرق في “أشغال”، إلى أن المرحلة الثالثة من المشروع تضمنت إنشاء طريق بطول 14 كيلومتر يمتد شمالاً من نهاية المرحلة الثانية عند الدوار الجديد شمال قرية روضة راشد، وصولاً إلى تقاطع لبصير بطريق دخان السريع، ويضم ثلاثة مسارات في كل اتجاه وفقاً لأعلى المواصفات الهندسية. كما تم إنشاء طريق طوله حوالي 3 كيلومتر بمسارين في كل اتجاه، يتجه شرقاً ليصل إلى طريق قائم يؤدي إلى منطقة الشيحانية.
كما أكد المهندس أحمد العبيدلي أن أعمال هذه المرحلة تضمنت تركيب أنظمة إنارة الشوارع وحواجز السلامة والعلامات الإرشادية، وتنفيذ أعمال الرصف، وتوفير جميع مرافق الخدمات بما في ذلك حوالي 29 كيلومتر من خطوط مياه الشرب و31 كيلومتر من كابلات الكهرباء، وحوالي 100 كيلومتر من خطوط شبكات الاتصالات، وتوفير أنظمة النقل الذكية. كما شملت أعمال المشروع مد 3.6 كيلومتر من خطوط صرف المياه السطحية، وتوفير خزان لأغراض الطوارئ ولاستيعاب المياه الفائضة، بالإضافة إلى إنشاء محطات كهرباء فرعية جديدة.
قام بتنفيذ المرحلة الثالثة من مشروع تطوير طريق روضة راشد تحالف شركة “بوم للإنشاءات” وشركة “لوتس للتجارة والمقاولات” بتكلفة إجمالية تبلغ حوالي 384.540 مليون ريال قطري.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن المرحلة الثالثة هي جزء من المشروع الرئيسي لتطوير طريق روضة راشد، والذي يبلغ طوله الإجمالي حوالي 33 كيلومتر بثلاثة مسارات في كل اتجاه. يقع طريق روضة راشد متعامداً على طريق سلوى باتجاه الشمال، متجاوزاً منطقة روضة راشد وصولاً إلى طريق دخان السريع، مما سيساهم في إبعاد حركة المرور عن منطقة روضة راشد السكنية. بالإضافة إلى زيادة القدرة الاستيعابية لحركة المرور عن طريق زيادة عدد المسارات وتخصيص المسار الأيمن للمركبات الثقيلة بهدف تعزيز السلامة المرورية لمستخدمي الطريق. كما سيعمل المشروع على ربط التطويرات الحالية والمستقبلية بالمناطق الرئيسية في دولة قطر.
وكانت “أشغال” قد افتتحت في أكتوبر 2016 المرحلتين الأولى والثانية من المشروع بطول حوالي 20 كيلومتراً. أما المرحلة الرابعة والتي بدء تنفيذها في نوفمبر من عام 2017، فسيتم من خلالها ربط طريق روضة راشد بالجسر القائم على التقاطع مع طريق سلوى الدولي، بالإضافة إلى إنشاء جسر جديد موازٍ للجسر القائم لاستيعاب التدفقات المرورية. كما سيتم ربط طريق روضة راشد من بالجسر القائم على التقاطع مع طريق دخان السريع عند مخرج الطريق رقم 42 (تقاطع لبصير) وإنشاء جسر آخر جديد على نفس التقاطع لاستيعاب التدفقات المرورية. ومن المقرر أن تكتمل أعمال المرحلة الرابعة في الربع الأخير من عام 2019.
