Qatar and US discuss situation in Palestine
وزير الخارجية: قطر مع الدولة الفلسطينية على حدود 67 وعاصمتها القدس
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H E Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, met yesterday with Assistant to the US President and Special Representative for International Negotiations, Jason Greenblatt, who is currently visiting the country. The meeting discussed the situation in Palestine, in addition to a number of issues of mutual interest.
The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Qatar’s firm stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people based on the resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution agreed by the international community to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
اجتمع سعادة الشيخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن آل ثاني نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية، اليوم، مع سعادة السيد جيسون جرينبلات مساعد الرئيس الأمريكي والممثل الخاص للمفاوضات الدولية، الذي يزور البلاد حاليا.
بحث الاجتماع تطورات الأوضاع في فلسطين، بالإضافة إلى عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وجدد سعادة نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية، موقف دولة قطر الثابت والدائم في دعم القضية الفلسطينية وصمود الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق، المستند إلى قرارات الشرعية الدولية، وحل الدولتين الذي توافق عليه المجتمع الدولي، بما يضمن إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة على حدود عام 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
