Treasures from Heritage exhibition opens in Katara

Doha: The exhibition “Treasures from Heritage” was opened at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), for the Abdullah Al-Ghanim Museum collection and will continue until the 28th of this month.

The opening, which was hosted by Gallery 2, Building No. 18 in Katara, was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers, sheikhs, ambassadors and diplomats accredited to the state, and a group of media professionals and those interested in heritage and archaeological artifacts.

His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani Museum in Qatar, said in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA): “We are pleased to see the Qatari youth who have such high interest, especially the young Abdullah Al-Ghanim, who still continues his studies and has this passion for acquiring antiques with his own possibilities.

It is evidence that if a person wants something, he achieves it. and this collection is valuable and excellent, and as the owner of a museum, I know the value of these things.” He pointed out that the interest of young people in their heritage and history is heartening, as everyone who wrote a poem or immortalized something positive remains for history, and from this point of view, every piece in this exhibition is like a poem, book or manuscript.

الدوحة: افتتح بالمؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/، معرض /كنوز من التراث/ لمجموعة متحف عبدالله الغانم ويستمر إلى الثامن والعشرين من الشهر الجاري.

حضر الافتتاح الذي احتضنه جاليري 2 بالمبنى رقم 18 بكتارا عدد من أصحاب السعادة الوزراء والشيوخ والسفراء والدبلوماسيين المعتمدين لدى الدولة، ولفيف من الإعلاميين والمهتمين بالمقتنيات التراثية والأثرية.

وقال سعادة الشيخ فيصل بن قاسم آل ثاني مؤسس ورئيس مجلس أمناء متحف الشيخ فيصل بن قاسم آل ثاني في قطر في تصريح خاص لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/: “سعداء بأن نرى الشباب القطري الذي له هذا الاهتمام الراقي، خاصة الشاب عبدالله الغانم الذي ما يزال يواصل دراسته وله هذا الشغف باقتناء التحف بإمكانياته الخاصة، وهو دليل على أن الإنسان إذا أراد شيئا حققه.. وهذه المجموعة قيمة وممتازة، وباعتباري صاحب متحف أعرف قيمة هذه الأمور”، مشيرا إلى أن اهتمام الشباب بتراثهم وبتاريخهم يثلج الصدر، حيث إن كل من كتب قصيدة شعرية أو خلد شيئا إيجابيا يبقى للتاريخ، ومن هذا المنطلق، فإن كل قطعة في هذا المعرض كأنها قصيدة أو كتاب أو مخطوط.
