Ashghal Started Construction Works of the Mesaimeer Pump Station and Outfall Project
انطلاق أعمال مشروع إنشاء محطة ضخ مسيمير والمصب البحري
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ started the construction works of the Mesaimeer Pump Station outfall Tunnel projects, which will provide a sustainable solution to discharge surface and storm water.
HE Dr. Eng. Saad bin Ahmad Al Muhannadi, President of the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ inaugurated the project’s works in the presence of officials from the Drainage Networks Projects Department at the Public Works Authority, and representatives of the supervision consultants and contractor.
The total cost of the project is QAR 920 million and it includes the construction of pumping station with 10 pumps and auxiliary facilities. The pumping station will be located at the end of Mesaimeer Tunnel south of Hamad International Airport. The project also includes the construction of a 10 kilometer tunnel with a 3.7 meters diameter.
The pumping station will operate at a capacity of 19.7 cubic meters per second, its function is to pump water from Mesaimeer Tunnel, which was completed in 2016, to the new outfall tunnel.
It is worth noting that the project is designed to ensure the preservation of the marine environment, as the water, which will be pumped complies with the environmental assessment standards, and it is discharged ten kilometers off-shore to reduce the effect on the marine environment.
The project is scheduled to be complete in Q4 2021, with a maintenance and operation period of three years. The project is being implemented by the JV of Hamad Bin Khalid Contracting Company and PORR Qatar Construction Company. The project management services has been assigned to Mott Macdonald Ltd. who will oversee the design, implementation and operation of the project.
Mesaimeer Pump Station and Outfall Tunnel is the second phase of the Mesaimeer Surface and Ground Water Drainage Tunnel Project, which will provide a sustainable solution for the discharge of surface and storm water.
Mesaimeer Tunnel was completed in late 2016 and it is one of the projects implemented by Ashghal in the development of drainage networks. In 2017, the project won the global best project award in the wastewater category, during the Engineering News Record (ENR) Global Best Projects Awards in New York City, in the presence of a group of the largest international companies executing global construction projects.
The tunnel extends below the G-Ring Road for 10 kilometers with a depth of about 30 meters below the ground surface. This main tunnel is linked to the existing and planned drainage networks in the areas that traverse through, and will collect and discharge surface water from approximately 170 km² of catchment area, as it is connected to rain water drainage networks in 22 vehicle tunnels
أعلنت هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” أنه تم البدء بتنفيذ الأعمال الإنشائية لمشروع محطة ضخ مسيمير والمصب البحري المتصل بنفق مسيمير الذي يهدف إلى تصريف المياه السطحية ومياه الأمطار.
هذا وقد أعطى سعادة الدكتور المهندس سعد بن أحمد المهندي، رئيس هيئة الأشغال العامة، إشارة البدء بتنفيذ أعمال المشروع، بحضور مجموعة من مسؤولي هيئة الأشغال العامة وإدارة مشاريع الصرف وممثلي الشركات الاستشارية والمنفذة للمشروع.
تبلغ التكلفة الإجمالية للمشروع 920 مليون ريال قطري، ويتكون من محطة ضخ تتألف من عشرة مضخات ومرافق مساعدة، وسيكون موقعها عند نهاية نفق مسيمير جنوب مطار حمد الدولي. كما يشمل المشروع أيضاً إنشاء نفق المصب البحري والذي يبلغ طوله عشرة كيلومترات وقطره 3.7 أمتار. وسيتم حفره على عمق 15 متر تحت قاع البحر.
ستعمل محطة الضخ بطاقة تبلغ 19.7 متر مكعب في الثانية ومهمتها هي ضخ المياه التي ترد إليها من نفق مسيمير إلى نفق المصب البحري، وهو نفق تم الانتهاء من بنائه في عام 2016.
من الجدير بالذكر بأن المشروع مصمم بشكل يضمن الحفاظ على البيئة البحرية، حيث أن المياه التي سيتم ضخها مطابقة لمعايير التقييم البيئي، كما أنه يتم صبها على بعد عشرة كيلومترات من الشاطئ لعدم الإضرار بالبيئة البحرية.
من المقرر أن يكتمل المشروع في الربع الأخير من عام 2021، وسيخضع لفترة صيانة وتشغيل لا تقل عن ثلاثة سنوات يلزم بها مقاول التنفيذ. ينفذ المشروع ائتلاف شركتي حمد بن خالد للمقاولات – وشركة بور قطر للإنشاءات، كما تم تكليف شركة موت ماكدونالد المحدودة بالإشراف على أعمال تصميم وتنفيذ وتشغيل المشروع.
يمثل مشروع محطة ضخ مسيمير والمصب البحري، المرحلة الثانية من مشروع نفق مسيمير للمياه السطحية والجوفية وسيعمل على تحقيق الهدف الذي تم إنشاء نفق مسيمير لأجله، وهو إيجاد الحول المستدامة لتصريف المياه السطحية ومياه الأمطار.
وقد تم الانتهاء من نفق مسيمير في أواخر العام 2016، ويعد أحد أهم المشاريع التي نفذتها الهيئة في مجال تطوير شبكات الصرف، وقد فاز في عام 2017 بجائزة أفضل مشروع عن فئة مشاريع الصرف الصحي التي تقدمها “إنجنيرنج نيوز ريكورد”، خلال الحفل السنوي العالمي الخامس لتوزيع الجوائز بحضور مجموعة من أكبر وأهم الشركات المنفذة لمشاريع إنشائية عالمية.
يمتد النفق أسفل الطريق الدائري السادس بطول 10 كيلومترات على عمق حوالي 30 متراً تحت سطح الأرض، ويربط هذا النفق الرئيسي شبكات الصرف القائمة والمستقبلية في المناطق التي يمر فيها، وسيعمل على استيعاب المياه السطحية من الشبكات الفرعية المتواجدة في مواقع مختلفة تقدر مساحتها بحوالي 170 كيلومتر مربع، مما سيعمل على الحد من تجمعات مياه الأمطار خصوصاً في أنفاق السيارات حيث أنه متصل بشبكات تصريف مياه الأمطار في 22 نفق للمركبات
