40 people arrested for visa trafficking

Doha: The Ministry of the Interior has arrested 40 people on charges of visa trafficking in violation of Law No. (21) for the year 2015 regulating the entry and exit of expatriates and their residence.

Director of Search and Follow up Department Brigadier Abdullah Jaber Al Labda, said: “The seizure of these peoples comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to control violators of the laws of the entry and stay of expatriates and to take legal action against them.

He added that the Department was able recently after the search campaigns to arrest those who trade in visas, which increases the problem of labor in the country, which made the administration to take measure to prosecute the perpetrators of such violations.

“The Research and Follow-up Department, deals with the victims of these practices from the humanitarian side, where it helps to transfer the work of many of them to another employer,” he said.

Al Lebda added that the Department will not hesitate in applying the law to everyone, individuals or companies and refer the violator to the Public Prosecutor. Calling for concerted efforts of members of the community with the security services to reduce the problem.

For his part, Search and investigation Section in the Department Captain Omar Khalifa Al Rumaihi, called on all citizens and expatriates not to deal with illegal workers or to employ them in any way and to cooperate with the concerned authorities in reporting them via the hotline (50701089).

He also pointed out that the hotline is also intended to respond to any questions related to illegal employment, or to trade visas for 24 hours and in Arabic, English and Urdu.

The Ministry of Interior is working to control of violators and to implement of the law in order to maintain security and order in the community, in addition to contributing to solving the problems of workers through a number of channels such as human rights management and research and follow-up Department, As determined by law. أعلنت وزارة الداخلية القبض على ( 40 ) شخصا بتهمة الاتجار بالتأشيرات، في مخالفة للقانون رقم ( 21 ) لسنة 2015 الخاص بتنظيم دخول وخروج الوافدين وإقامتهم.

وقال العميد عبدالله جابر اللبدة مدير إدارة البحث والمتابعة “إن ضبط هؤلاء الأشخاص يأتي في إطار جهود الوزارة في ضبط المخالفين للقوانين المنظمة لدخول وإقامة الوافدين واتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم بهدف القضاء على مشكلة العمالة السائبة والهاربة” .

وأضاف العميد اللبدة أن “إدارة البحث والمتابعة تمكنت مؤخرا بعد حملات تفتيشية من القبض على بعض ضعاف النفوس الذين يقومون بالمتاجرة بالتأشيرات الأمر الذي يزيد من مشكلة العمالة السائبة والهاربة في البلاد مما استدعى من الإدارة اتخاذ إجراءات وتدابير من شأنها ملاحقة مرتكبي تلك المخالفات”.

وقال “إن وزارة الداخلية ممثلة في إدارة البحث والمتابعة تتعامل مع ضحايا تلك الممارسات من الجانب الإنساني حيث تساعد في نقل جهة عمل العديد منهم إلى جهة عمل أخرى”.

وأكد مدير إدارة البحث والمتابعة أن الإدارة لن تتوانى في تطبيق القانون على الجميع أفرادا أو شركات وإحالة المخالف إلى النيابة العامة.. داعيا إلى تضافر جهود أفراد المجتمع مع الأجهزة الأمنية للحد من المشكلة.

من جانبه دعا النقيب عمر خليفة الرميحي رئيس قسم البحث والتحري بالإدارة كافة المواطنين والوافدين إلى عدم التعامل مع العمالة الهاربة أو تشغيلهم بأي شكل من الأشكال والتعاون مع الجهات المعنية في الإبلاغ عنهم عبر الخط الساخن (50701089).

كما أشار إلى أن الخط الساخن مخصص أيضا للرد على أية استفسارات تتعلق بالعمالة الهاربة أو السائبة أو المتاجرة بالتأشيرات على مدى 24 ساعة وباللغات العربية والانجليزية والأوردو.

وأكد أن وزارة الداخلية تعمل بشفافية في عمليات ضبط المخالفين وتنفيذ القانون حفاظا على الأمن والنظام في المجتمع، “إلى جانب المساهمة في حل مشكلات العمال عبر عدد من القنوات مثل إدارة حقوق الإنسان، وإدارة البحث والمتابعة وذلك في إطار حماية حقوق الإنسان وحفظ حقوق المستقدم والعامل الوافد وفق ما يقرره القانون”.
