Armed Forces Languages Institute signs MoU with British Council on certified IELTS testing

DOHA: The Languages Institute of the Qatari Armed Forces has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the British Council to accredit the Institute as a certified IELTS testing centre.

The memorandum was signed by Brigadier General Ibrahim Khalifa Al Mannai, Director of the Language Institute, and Samantha Ayton, Regional Director of the British Council, under the patronage of Major General Hamad bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Commander of Colleges and Institutes, in the presence of Major

General Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayarin, Commander of Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College.

Al Mannai said that the IELTS Center at the Language Institute will work in cooperation with the British Council to support the strategy of the Qatari armed forces to develop and determine English language abilities by providing IELTS examinations to all members of the armed forces and all security authorities in the State of Qatar.

تحت رعاية سعادة اللواء الركن حمد بن أحمد النعيمي قائد هيئة الكليات والمعاهد، وبحضور سعادة اللواء الركن فهد بن مبارك الخيارين قائد كلية أحمد بن محمد العسكرية، والملحق العسكري البريطاني، وقّع معهد اللغات مذكرة تفاهم مع المركز الثقافي البريطاني، لاعتماد معهد اللغات بالقوات المسلحة القطرية مركزاً معتمداً لاختبارات «الأيلتس». وقد وُقّعت المذكرة من قِبل العميد الركن إبراهيم خليفة المناعي قائد معهد اللغات، والسيدة سامانثا أيتون المدير الإقليمي في المركزالثقافي البريطاني.

وأكد العميد الركن المناعي أن مركز «الأيلتس» بمعهد اللغات التابع للقوات المسلحة القطرية سوف يعمل بالتعاون المشترك مع المركز الثقافي البريطاني، والذي يدعم استراتيجية القوات المسلحة القطرية لتنمية وتحديد قدرات مهارات اللغة الإنجليزية بتوفير امتحانات «الأيلتس» لجميع منتسبي القوات المسلحة وجميع الجهات الأمنية في دولة قطر.;
