Qatar Tourism Launches Education Campaign in Partnership with Qatar Foundation

Doha: Qatar Tourism has launched an education campaign in collaboration with Qatar Foundation and Qatar University to promote Qatar as a world-class education hub. The campaign targets students and parents in the region and is designed to showcase why they should consider studying in Qatar.

Qatar aims to showcase the country’s leading accredited university offerings and how it can open a world of opportunities for students by providing internationally recognized degrees from top-level universities. As part of the campaign, CNN, one of the most widely distributed news channels in the world, visited Qatar to film its educational institutes and interview current students – this will be featured in 30 and 60 second videos on the platform. The campaign will also include other digital advertisements to ensure maximum reach across the region.

Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Tourism, Berthold Trenkel, said, “Qatar has always understood the power of education and has therefore heavily invested to ensure the educational landscape in the country is international, cutting-edge, and diverse. Qatar has a dynamic university offering, and through this campaign, we will be able to highlight what makes Qatar the right choice for university education. Qatar uniquely combines globally renowned education with a rich culture, safe environment, world-class facilities, social stability, and excellent employment opportunities.” Qatar Foundation (QF) has created a globally unique, multidisciplinary ecosystem of education, with its Education City being home to branch campuses of seven of the world’s leading universities, as well as QF’s homegrown Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

Executive Director of Strategy, Management, and Partnerships at QF’s Higher Education division Hend Zainal, said, “Qatar Foundation’s unique education ecosystem makes studying in Education City an experience that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.”. She pointed out that education City is a true testament to Qatar’s national-level commitment to education. The quality education underpins the development of nations and the realization of individuals and communities’ true potential.

“We are proud of our partnership with Qatar Tourism through this campaign that will showcase the benefits that quality education brings to Qatar, the region, and the world, and we hope that this will position Qatar as a regional hub for education,” she added.

Additionally, Qatar University (QU) continues to serve as the country’s primary institution of higher education. QU has eleven colleges and 94 different programs, and offers quality education to more than 25,000 multinational students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Qatar University has a substantial pool of skilled and in-demand graduates, a rising number of highly-regarded specialized Masters and Ph.D. programs and numerous noteworthy research accomplishments.

Vice President for Student Affairs at Qatar University Dr. Eiman Mustafawi said, “We continue to put forth the effort and commitment necessary to offer a student-centered educational experience that supports our students’ academic success and personal development, in alignment with Qatar’s higher education standards which are as competitive as those of renowned universities around the world.” She confirmed that Qatar University stands today as an icon of academic excellence and as the fastest growing university in research in the region. It is worth mentioning that each year Qatar University recruits thousands of students, including international students, who comprise no less than 30% of the student population at Qatar University.

الدوحة: أطلقت قطر للسياحة حملة ترويج تعليمية، بالتعاون مع مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع وجامعة قطر، تهدف إلى الترويج لقطر كمركز للتعليم عالمي المستوى، وتستهدف الحملة الطلاب وأولياء الأمور من كافة أنحاء المنطقة، وتسلط الضوء على المزايا التي تجعل من قطر خيارا مثاليا لهم لمتابعة دراستهم.

وأشارت قطر للسياحة، في بيان اليوم، إلى أن الحملة تهدف إلى إظهار الفرص التعليمية المرموقة والمعتمدة التي تقدمها الجامعات في قطر، وكيف تمكن الطلاب وتفتح أمامهم عالما من الفرص من خلال تقديم شهادات معترف بها دوليا تمنحها جامعات رفيعة المستوى، مثلما تتضمن إعلانات رقمية للترويج للوجهة بما يضمن الوصول إلى أكبر عدد ممكن من الجمهور في المنطقة.

وبهذه المناسبة، قال السيد بيرثهولد ترينكل، الرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات في قطر للسياحة: “لطالما أدركت قطر أهمية التعليم، وقد استثمرت بقوة في بناء نظام تعليمي متطور ومتنوع بمعايير عالمية، فمن خلال هذه الحملة سوف نسلط الضوء على الأسباب التي تجعل من قطر خيارا مثاليا للدراسة الجامعية، إذ إن قطر توفر لقاصديها من الطلاب العديد من الخيارات الجامعية”، لافتا إلى أن “ما يميز قطر تقديمها لتعليم مرموق ذي مستوى عالمي، وثقافة غنية، وبيئة آمنة، ومرافق عالمية المستوى، واستقرار اجتماعي، وفرص عمل ممتازة”.

وأنشأت مؤسسة قطر منظومة تعليمية عالمية فريدة من نوعها، تشمل تخصصات متعددة، حيث تضم مدينتها التعليمية فروعا لسبع جامعات رائدة في العالم، بالإضافة إلى جامعة حمد بن خليفة المحلية التابعة لمؤسسة قطر.

وفي السياق ذاته، اعتبرت هند زينل المدير التنفيذي للإدارة والاستراتيجية والشراكات في قطاع التعليم العالي بمؤسسة قطر، أن المنظومة التعليمية الفريدة التي تزخر بها مؤسسة قطر تجعل الدراسة بالمدينة التعليمية تجربة لا يمكن تكرارها في أي مكان آخر في العالم، مشيرة إلى أن المدينة التعليمية تجسد التزام دولة قطر بالتعليم على المستوى الوطني، انطلاقا من إيمانها بدور التعليم عالي الجودة في دعم مسيرة التنمية وتمكين الأفراد والمجتمعات من إدراك كامل إمكاناتهم.

كما لفتت إلى أن الشراكة مع قطر للسياحة، من خلال هذه الحملة، تؤكد منافع التعليم الجيد لقطر والمنطقة والعالم بأسره، معربة عن تطلعها إلى أن تسهم هذه الحملة في ترسيخ مكانة قطر كمركز رائد للتعليم في المنطقة.

وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، تواصل جامعة قطر جهودها التعليمية الدؤوبة بوصفها الجامعة الوطنية التي تقدم برامج التعليم العالي في قطر، حيث تضم 11 كلية و94 برنامجا في مختلف التخصصات، وتقدم تعليما عالي المستوى لأكثر من 25 ألف طالب وطالبة من مختلف الجنسيات بمرحلتي البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا، كما خرجت مجموعة كبيرة من الخريجين المتميزين والأكفاء من حملة شهادة البكالوريوس والماجستير والدكتوراه في مختلف التخصصات، كما تمتلك العديد من الإنجازات البحثية المميزة.

إلى ذلك، أبرزت الدكتورة إيمان مصطفوي، نائب رئيس جامعة قطر لشؤون الطلاب، مواصلة الجامعة بذل الجهود في الالتزام بتقديم تعليم يتمحور حول الطالب وتجربة طلابية تدعم النجاح الأكاديمي لطلابها وتعزز تطورهم الشخصي بما يتناسب مع معايير التعليم العالي في قطر والمنافسة لنظيراتها في مختلف الجامعات حول العالم، مبينة أن جامعة قطر تقف اليوم كمنارة للتميز الأكاديمي، وتعد الأسرع نموا في مجال البحث العلمي في المنطقة، كما تركز على تخريج كوادر متخصصة ومؤهلة على قدر عال من الكفاءة والمهنية.

جدير بالذكر أن جامعة قطر تستقطب سنويا عددا لا يستهان به من الطلاب القطريين وغير القطريين، إذ يبلغ عدد الطلاب غير القطريين فيها ما لا يقل عن نسبة 30%.
