Amiri decree extends term of QCB Governor

DOHA: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued yesterday Amiri decree No. 27 of 2018 to renew the term of H E Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud Al Thani Governor of Qatar Central Bank, for a period of five years, beginning on June 19, 2018. The decree is effective starting from its date of issue and is to be published in the Official Gazette, QNA reported.

H H the Amir also issued Law No. 7 of 2018 on the amendment of some provisions of Law No. 8 of 2008 on consumer protection. The law was implemented and published in the Official Gazette.

H H the Amir issued an instrument of ratification approving the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on tourism cooperation between the governments of the State of Qatar and State of Kuwait, signed in Kuwait on March 19, 2018.

H H the Amir issued another instrument of ratification approving an MoU on cooperating in the energy field between the Ministry of Energy and Industry between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Bulgaria, signed in Sofia on March 8, 2018.

H H the Amir issued an instrument of ratification approving MoU in the youth and sports field between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Bulgaria, signed in Sofia on March 8, 2018.

H H the Amir issued Decree No. 23 of 2018, on ratifying the agreement between the governments of the State of Qatar and Republic of Gambia on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion regarding income tax, signed in Doha on November 11, 2014, annexed to this decree and to have the force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

H H the Amir also issued Decree No. 24 of 2018 ratifying the MoU to cooperate in the field of education, higher education and scientific research between the governments of the State of Qatar and Socialist Republic of Vietnam, signed in Hanoi on January 16, 2012, annexed to this decree and to have the force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

H H the Amir issued Decree No. 25 of 2018 ratifying the MoU on developing cooperation in the energy field between the governments of the State of Qatar and Turkmenistan signed in Doha on March 15, 2017, annexed to this decree and to have the force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

The decrees are effective starting from their date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.

أصدر حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى اليوم القرار الأميري رقم /27/ لسنة 2018 بتجديد مدة سعادة الشيخ عبدالله بن سعود بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني محافظا لمصرف قطر المركزي، لمدة خمس سنوات، تبدأ من تاريخ 19 / 6 / 2018.

وقضى القرار بتنفيذه، والعمل به من تاريخ صدوره، وأن ينشر في الجريدة الرسمية.
