5 conditions for a safe cruise in Ramadan

Doha: Many citizens are keen to organise Pre-Iftar cruises, usually from 3pm to midnight, during which they fish using nets and hooks and enjoy their Iftar in the enchanting atmosphere surrounding the gulf waters.

Al-Raya met a number of citizens before going out on fishing trips and picnics, and confirmed that the sea for them is an important activity that they can not stop for any reason, considering that fasting does not prevent them from enjoying these trips, but it is necessary to abide by a number of conditions and provide some important equipment starting from avoiding going out in the early morning or afternoon.

The journey begins two to three hours before Iftar, which is enough time for the fisherman to set up nets at their chosen location, noting that Iftar should contain water, dates, milk, juice and a light meal containing starches, and avoid fatty meals that cause glut and lethargy.

They stressed the need for the sailors to provide more food, juices and water than required to be enough also in the event of a cruiser malfunction or facing any other problem that may force him to stay at sea until the time of suhoor, pointing out the importance of taking care during cruises at the time of fasting, and that a fisherman mustn’t go out alone in the boat and must have at least one individual with him, as well as the need to ensure the safety of radios in the cruiser, tracking devices and maps, and if he felt fatigued, he should break fasting immediately and return to the coast and contact the competent authorities for treatment.

They noted that they were committed to the restrictions imposed by the concerned authorities regarding maritime activities and the number allowed as they go with their families living in the same house or with fishermen, or a maximum of 5 people who completed the doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, noting that cruises are one of the most important activities for a large segment of citizens in the midst of the pandemic, especially after many avoided travelling abroad.

الدوحة: يحرص العديدُ من المُواطنين على تنظيم رحلات بحرية قبل موعد الإفطار تبدأ عادة من الساعة الثالثة مساءً حتى مُنتصف الليل، حيث يقومون خلالها بمُمارسة هواية صيد الأسماك بالشباك والسنانير ويتخللها تناول وجبة الإفطار وسط الأجواء الساحرة التي تُحيط بمياه الخليج.

الراية التقت عددًا من المُواطنين قبل خروجهم في رحلات الصيد والنزهة، وأكدوا أن البحر بالنسبة لهم من الأنشطة المهمة التي لا يستطيعون الانقطاع عنها لأي سبب من الأسباب، مُعتبرين أن الصيام لا يمنعهم من الاستمتاع بتلك الرحلات، ولكن لابدّ من الالتزام بعدد من الشروط وتوفير بعض التجهيزات المُهمة بداية من تجنّب الخروج في الصباح الباكر أو فترة الظّهيرة وبدء الرحلة قبل موعد الإفطار بساعتَين إلى 3 ساعات، وهي مدة كافية يستطيع خلالها الصياد نصب الشباك في الموقع الذي يختاره، مُشيرين إلى ضرورة تناول إفطار يحتوي على المياه والتمر واللبن والعصير ووجبة خفيفة تضم نشويات، وتجنّب الوجبات الدسمة التي تسبب التخمة والخمول.

وشدّدوا على ضرورة قيام البحّار بتأمين كمية من الطعام والعصائر والمياه أكثر مما يحتاجه حتى تكفيه أيضًا في حال حدث عطل في الطراد أو مُواجهة أي مُشكلة أخرى قد تضطره للبقاء في عرض البحر حتى موعد السحور، لافتين إلى أهمية أخذ الحيطة والحذر أثناء الرحلات البحرية في وقت الصيام وعدم خروج الصياد مُنفردًا في القارب وضرورة أن يكون معه فرد واحد على الأقل، فضلًا عن ضرورة التأكد من سلامة أجهزة الاتصال اللاسلكية في الطراد وأجهزة التتبع والخرائط، وفي حال شعر بالإعياء عليه الإفطار فورًا والعودة إلى الساحل والاتصال بالجهات المُختصة لتلقي العلاج.

وأشاروا إلى أنهم مُلتزمون بالقيود التي فرضتها الجهات المعنية بخصوص الأنشطة البحرية والعدد المسموح به حيث إنهم يخرجون برفقة أسرهم المُقيمة في نفس المنزل أو مُنفردين مع البحّارة بالنسبة للصيادين، أو 5 أشخاص بحد أقصى ممن استكملوا جرعات لقاح «كوفيد-19»، لافتين إلى أن الرحلات البحرية من أهم الأنشطة بالنسبة لشريحة كبيرة من المُواطنين في ظل الجائحة، لا سيما بعد تجنب الكثيرين السفر خارج البلاد.
