SC backs foundation for children with special needs at Moscow gala

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) supported a charity gala dinner in Moscow that was organised as part of the Year of Culture Qatar-Russia 2018 celebrations.
Held at Pashkov House, an imperial mansion in the heart of Moscow, the event was organised to raise money for the Naked Heart Foundation, which supports children with special needs across Russia. The SC co-sponsored the event alongside Qatar Tourism Authority.
SC Secretary-General Hassan al-Thawadi attended the gala dinner along with Naked Heart Foundation founder Natalia Vodianova and more than 250 guests, including a host of former footballers and stars from stage and screen.
“Tonight’s event and the work of the Naked Heart Foundation encapsulates the shared values of both our nations during our year of culture,” al-Thawadi said.
“The SC and its partners in Qatar are proud to support Natalia’s noble mission one that assists children with special needs, provides necessary support and, ultimately, builds a more inclusive society,” he added.
Al-Thawadi went on to encourage guests to visit Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after enjoying a memorable tournament in Russia.
“The vast number of visitors that travelled here for the World Cup will take away special memories of the incredible culture and history, along with the warmth and hospitality of the Russian people.
“In four years’ time, it’s our turn to welcome all of you to the first World Cup in the Middle East. You will find a country that will welcome you with open arms a country that prides itself on fusing preservation of culture and tradition, with a genuine drive to create progress, to make a difference and to help create a better world for all of us,” al-Thawadi added.
The gala dinner included a charity auction, with one of the prizes an all-expenses paid five-star trip to the 2022 FIFA World Cup being provided by the SC. The prize was auctioned for 170,000 euros (QR720,475). — QNA
قامت اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث بدعم حفل عشاء خيري أقيم كجزء من احتفالات العام الثقافي القطري-الروسي 2018، في قصر باشكوف، أحد القصور الإمبراطورية في قلب العاصمة الروسية موسكو، لجمع التبرعات المالية لصالح مؤسسة نايكيد هارت المعنية بدعم الأفراد من ذوي الإعاقة في أرجاء مختلفة من روسيا.
وأسهمت اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث والهيئة العامة للسياحة في رعاية هذا الحفل لتحقيق أهدافه المرجوة.
وقد حضر حفل العشاء سعادة السيد حسن الذوادي، الأمين العام للجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث، والسيدة ناتاليا فوديانوفا، مؤسس مؤسسة نايكيد هارت، بالإضافة لحضور 250 ضيفا من نجوم الكرة، والمسرح، والسينما حول العالم.
وعبر سعادة السيد حسن الذاودي عن فخر دولة قطر بدعم مؤسسة نايكيد هارت قائلا: “إن حفل الليلة والعمل الرائع الذي تقوم به مؤسسة نايكيد هارت يجسدان قيما مشتركة في كلا البلدين خلال الاحتفال بالعام الثقافي القطري-الروسي 2018. وتفخر اللجنة العليا وشركاؤها في قطر بدعم جهود المؤسسة الرامية لتوفير الدعم اللازم للأفراد من ذوي الإعاقة، الأمر الذي يشكل مجتمعا أكثر انسجاما وتعايشا”.
كما دعا الذوادي ضيوف الحفل لزيارة دولة قطر لحضور بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم قطر 2022 بعد الاستمتاع ببطولة لا تنسى في روسيا، حيث قال: “حملت حشود الزوار الذين سافروا لروسيا للاستمتاع ببطولة كأس العالم 2018 معهم ذكريات لا تنسى عن ثقافة روسيا، وتاريخها العريق، وكرم الشعب الروسي. وسترحب دولة قطر خلال أربعة أعوام من الآن بالعالم بأسره، فقد حان دورنا لاستضافة أول بطولة لكأس العالم في المنطقة. وأنا على يقين تام بأن ضيوف قطر وزائريها سيستمتعون بالتعرف على عراقة الثقافة العربية، والتقاليد القطرية الأصيلة، عند حضورهم نسخة استثنائية من بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم في قطر”.
وقد تضمن حفل العشاء مزادا خيريا على جائزة واحدة مقدمة من اللجنة العليا وهي عبارة عن رحلة مدفوعة التكاليف من فئة الخمس نجوم لحضور بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم قطر 2022. وقد تم بيع الجائزة بمبلغ 170,000 يورو (720,475 ريال قطري).
