QU Announces the Admission of 4700 Undergrad Students

Doha: Qatar University (QU) has announced yesterday that nearly 4,700 undergraduate (Male & Female) students have been accepted for the fall 2022 semester, noting that the percentage of Qatari students reached 70 percent of the total applicants.

Vice President of Qatar University for Student Affairs Dr. Eman Mostafavi explained that the new applicants, including those who have been transferred to QU from other universities and applicants for the second Bachelors degree, visiting students and course students, can have a glimpse of the admission’s decisions set forth in their electronic admission accounts via the universitys website.

Dr. Eman Mostafavi added that QU’s Admissions Department has notified the entire applicants of the date of the decisions announcement via Emails and short SMS, pointing out that admission to QU is essentially based on the contest principle between the applicants, emphasizing that the fulfilment of the minimum requirements of study does not necessarily mean that the student’s admission has been fully accepted, but students can be accepted in each semester based on the capacity of each college separately.

She asserted that students who have never obtained the opportunity of being admitted to the fall 2022 semester can further apply for the upcoming semester in the spring of 2023, calling on the students to capitalize on the educational and non-educational opportunities, in addition to the potentials and the sources available in campus that would essentially develop their skills and capabilities and undergird their academic excellence to be key actors in the service of their community and country.

الدوحة: أعلنت جامعة قطر، يوم أمس، عن قبول حوالي 4700 طالب وطالبة بمرحلة البكالوريوس للفصل الدراسي خريف 2022، مشيرة إلى أن نسبة الطلبة القطريين بلغت 70 بالمئة من إجمالي المتقدمين.

وأوضحت الدكتورة إيمان مصطفوي، نائب رئيس جامعة قطر لشؤون الطلاب، أنه يمكن للمتقدمين من الطلاب المستجدين والمحولين إلى جامعة قطر من جامعات أخرى، والمتقدمين لدرجة البكالوريوس الثانية، والطلبة الزائرين وطلبة دراسة المقررات، الاطلاع على قرارات القبول في حسابات القبول الإلكترونية الخاصة بهم عبر الموقع الإلكتروني للجامعة.

وأضافت أن إدارة القبول في الجامعة قامت بإعلام جميع المتقدمين بموعد إعلان القرارات عن طريق البريد الإلكتروني والرسائل النصية القصيرة.

وأوضحت الدكتورة إيمان أن القبول في جامعة قطر يعتمد على مبدأ المنافسة بين المتقدمين، وأن تحقيق الحد الأدنى من متطلبات الدراسة في الشهادة الثانوية لا يعني بالضرورة قبول الطالب في الكلية، وإنما يتم قبول الطلبة في كل فصل دراسي وفق السعة الاستيعابية لكل كلية على حدة.

وأكدت أنه بإمكان الطلبة الذين لم يحصلوا على فرصة للقبول في الفصل الدراسي خريف 2022، أن يتقدموا بطلب القبول للفصل الدراسي المقبل ربيع 2023.

ودعت إلى الاستفادة من كافة الفرص التعليمية وغير التعليمية والإمكانيات والمصادر المتاحة لهم في الحرم الجامعي، التي تنمي قدراتهم ومهاراتهم، وتدعم تفوقهم الأكاديمي ليصبحوا أعضاء فاعلين في خدمة مجتمعهم ووطنهم.
