Joint Technical Committee Holds Meeting on Turkish Labor in Qatar

Doha: The Joint Technical Committee, that was formed in accordance to the agreement on bringing Turkish labor to the State of Qatar, held its second meeting, through video conference.
The Qatari side were chaired by officials from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs and the Qatar Chamber, as well as the Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour & Social Affairs Mohammed Hassan Al Obaidly, on the other hand the Turkish side was chaired by HE Turkish Deputy Minister of Family, Labour and Social Service Ahmet Erdem.
The meeting discussed issues related to the use of skilled workers from the Republic of Turkey in the State of Qatar, as well as the employment fair in which the Turkish side will display the Turkish labor skills suitable for the Qatari labor market, and coordinate with the Qatar Chamber to hold the exhibition through visual communication technology.
The two sides also exchanged the best experiences of the two countries in combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the most important steps taken to limit the spread of the epidemic and its effects.
Moreover, the two sides agreed to continue the periodic meetings of the joint committee to follow up the progress of work and develop means of cooperation between the two countries in the aforementioned fields.

الدوحة: عقدت اللجنة الفنية المشتركة، المنبثقة عن اتفاقية الاستخدام للعمالة التركية في دولة قطر،اجتماعها الثاني – وذلك عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي-.
ترأس الاجتماع – الذي شارك فيه مسؤولون من وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية وغرفة قطر- من الجانب القطري السيد محمد حسن العبيدلي، وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون العمل بوزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، وترأس الجانب التركي الدكتور أحمد ابرم نائب وزير العمل والخدمات الاجتماعية والأسرة.
وناقش الاجتماع الموضوعات الخاصة باستخدام العمالة الماهرة من جمهورية تركيا في دولة قطر، وكذلك معرض التوظيف الذي سيعرض فيه الجانب التركي مهارات العمالة التركية المتوافرة لسوق العمل القطري،والتنسيق مع غرفة قطر لإقامة المعرض عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي.
كما تبادل الطرفان أفضل التجارب لدى البلدين في مكافحة جائحة فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/ وأهم الخطوات التي اتخذت للحد من انتشار الوباء وآثاره.
وفي الختام اتفق الجانبان على مواصلة الاجتماعات الدورية للجنة المشتركة لمتابعة سير العمل وتطوير سبل التعاون بين البلدين في المجالات المذكورة.
