Maids.. Fake mothers

Psychologists have confirmed that some families’ dependence on maids to raise their children is one of the most dangerous phenomena that societies suffer from, whose dangers threaten the family’s entity and negatively affect the upbringing of the future generation in the Gulf society in particular and the Arab community in general.

They stressed that maids have a clear impact on the upbringing of children and on the religious and cultural beliefs, customs and traditions on which they must be raised, acquiring the customs and traditions of maids, which some consider a cultural invasion of children’s minds.

They told “Al-Sharq” that the presence of maids in any society is a normal social lifestyle and there is no danger if their presence at home is limited to performing their main and only role which is to do routine housework and not to rely on them to raise children, this is in addition to the parents’ keenness to preserve their roles within the family, in raising their children, and not to abandon them in any way, with the need to establish strict controls and rules for the appearance of the maid, her manner of speaking and the way she deals with the child.

الدوحة: أكد اختصاصيون نفسيون أن اعتماد بعض الأسر على الخادمات في تربية أولادهم من أخطر الظواهر التي تعاني منها المجتمعات والتي أصبحت مخاطرها تهدد كيان الأسرة وتؤثر سلبيا على تنشئة الجيل المستقبلي في المجتمع الخليجي خاصة والعربي عامة، وشددوا على أن للخدم تأثيرا واضحا على تربية الأبناء وعلى المعتقدات الدينية والثقافية والعادات والتقاليد التي يجب أن يتربوا عليها، حيث يكتسبون عادات وتقاليد الخدم وهذا ما يعتبره البعض غزوا ثقافيا لعقول الأطفال.

وقالوا لـ “الشرق” إن تواجد الخادمات في أي مجتمع يعد نمطا من أنماط الحياة الاجتماعية العادية وليس فيه أي خطورة في حال اقتصر وجودهن في البيت على أداء دورهن الأساسي والوحيد وهو القيام بأعمال المنزل الروتينية وعدم الاعتماد أو الاتكال عليهن في تربية الأبناء، هذا بالإضافة إلى حرص الأبوين على الاحتفاظ بأدوارهما داخل الأسرة، في تربية وتنشئة الأطفال، وعدم التخلي عنهم بأي شكل من الأشكال مع ضرورة إنشاء ضوابط وقواعد صارمة لمظهر الخادمة وأسلوب حديثها وطريقة تعاملها مع الطفل.
