Social media activists mourn the late Brigadier General Mohamed Buhazaa

Doha: Qatari citizen Muhammad Buhazaa was buried at the Mesaimeer cemetery on Tuesday, hours after he was found dead at sea.
Buhazaa was declared missing after going on a fishing trip in the Thakira Sea on Monday when his boat and belongings were found abandoned. A search party was launched and his body was found at sea a day later.
Residents of Qatar took to social media to mourn his death using the hashtag #محمد_بوهزاع [#MuhammadBuHazaa].
Buhazaa was a brigadier in the Qatari navy and made frequent trips out at sea. His nephew also told local Qatari newspaper, Al Sharq that his uncle went on the fishing trip alone, “He is always used to making these trips” he added.
Regarding the details of the pre-accident, he revealed that his uncle began his cruise at one o’clock Monday afternoon with his cruiser in al-Thakhira sea, but at 6:15 in the evening they found the cruiser in the Arada area less than a kilometre away from al-Thakhira, and only his personal belongings were inside it. At this point, he was reported missing, and the search for him began by the competent authorities from the coast guard.
Local media personalities and activists said the deceased was known for his generosity and kindness and shared prayers for his family.
“May God have mercy on Mohammad Buhaza and accept him in heaven with the martyrs. Our condolences to his family,” said prominent media personality Fahad Buzwair.
Qatari Muslim preacher Ayed Al Qahtani also expressed his deep condolences on Twitter.
“I ask God Almighty to have mercy on him and to make his grave a meadow in the gardens of Paradise. He was one of the most pious and humble men I’ve known,” said Al Qahtani.

أُعلن عن فقدان بوهزاع عندما تم العثور على قاربه وممتلكاته مهجورة، بعد أن ذهب في رحلة صيد في بحر الذخيرة يوم الاثنين. وبدأت عملية البحث وعُثر على جثته في البحر بعد يوم.
كان بوهزاع عميدًا في البحرية القطرية وقام برحلات متكررة في البحر. وقال ابن أخيه لصحيفة الشرق القطرية المحلية إن عمه ذهب في رحلة الصيد بمفرده وهو دائما معتاد على القيام بهذه الرحلات.
وعن تفاصيل ماقبل الحادث ، كشف أن عمه بدأ رحلته البحرية الساعة الواحدة ظهر أمس مع طراده في بحر الذخيرة ، ولكن عند الساعة السادسة والربع مساء وجدوا الطراد في منطقة عريدة وهي تبعد أقل من كيلو عن الذخيرة ، وبداخله أغراضه الشخصية فقط وهنا تم تقديم البلاغ بفقدانه وبدات رحلة البحث عنه من قبل الجهات المختصة من خفر السواحل.
وسيطر الأسى والحزن على المغردين القطريين بعد أخبار العثور على جثمانه، وبمشاعر تملؤها الغصة والألم نعى الناشطون الفقيد ودعوا له بالرحمة والمغفرة ولأهله بالصبر والسلوان.
ونشر الإعلامي القطري البارز فهد بوزوير تغريدة على تويتر قال فيها: “رحم الله #محمد_بوهزاع وتقبله من الشهداء اللهم امين تعازينا لأسرته الكريمة”
كما أعرب الداعية المسلم القطري عايد القحطاني عن تعازيه الحارة عبر تويتر: “أسأل الله العظيم رب العرش العظيم أن يرحمه ويغفر له ويجعله في روضة من رياض الجنة كان من خيرة من عرفت أدبا وخلقا وتواضعا أحسن الله عزاكم وعظم الله أجركم ورزق أهله الصبر والسلوان #محمد_بوهزاع“
