Ministry recalls Mercedes Benz models of 2013-2015

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, has announced the recall of Mercedes Benz G-Class, GL-Class and ML-Class models of 2013-2015 because the variant coding for the engine control unit does not correspond to the factory specification.

The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that automobile dealers follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them.

The MEC said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

أعلنت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة بالتعاون مع شركة ناصر بن خالد للسيارات وكيل سيارات مرسيدس-بنز عن استدعاء مركبات مرسيدس-بنز طراز جي كلاس، جي ال كلاس، ام ال كلاس موديل2013-2015، وذلك لاحتمالية عدم مطابقة برمجة كمبيوتر المحرك لمواصفات المصنع، ويأتي هذا الاجراء في إطار التنسيق والمتابعة المستمرة من وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة للتأكد من مدى التزام وتقيد وكلاء السيارات بمتابعة عيوب السيارات وتصحيحها لحماية حقوق المستهلكين.

وأكدت الوزارة أنه سيتم التنسيق مع وكيل الشركة لمتابعة عمليات الصيانة والتصليح والتواصل مع العملاء للتأكد من تنفيذ الإجراءات وتصحيح الخلل والعيوب في السيارات التي تشملها العيوب.

وتحث وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة جميع المستهلكين بالإبلاغ عن أي تجاوزات أو مخالفات بالتواصل مع إدارة حماية المستهلك ومكافحة الغش التجاري والتي تستقبل الشكاوى والاقتراحات والاستفسارات من خلال قنوات التواصل.;
