Ministry launches Qatar Digital Identity app on Apple Store

Doha: Ministry of Interior has launched the “Qatar Digital ID Card” application service on the Apple Store in its first phase, which includes verifying the digital identity, providing an easy way to access services on the Ministry’s website and stamping the electronically issued documents.

The Ministry said on its twitter account that this comes within the framework of constant efforts of the Ministry of Interior to provide the latest and distinguished services to the citizens and residents.

The new service provides the highest degree of trust in obtaining the digital identity of users through a secure and easy-to-use application that contributes to reducing identity theft crimes in cyberspace.

It is also created and linked to a unique electronic signature of the persons, which includes national digital certificates that can be used by users through the application to approve electronic procedures and transactions to align with the laws and legislation in force in the State of Qatar and protect these transactions from forgery and fraud.

The service provides a practical and reliable way to prove the identity of the signer on the transactions in order to avoid cases of denial of the signature and raise the level of trust in electronic transactions in the State of Qatar and at the global level.

الدوحة: أطلقت وزارة الداخلية خدمة تطبيق “البطاقة الشخصية الرقمية القطرية” على متجر آبل في مرحلته الأولى، والتي تشمل التحقق من الهوية الرقمية، وتوفير طريقة سهلة للوصول إلى الخدمات على موقع الوزارة وختم الوثائق الصادرة إلكترونياً.

ونشرت الوزارة على حسابها في تويتر أن ذلك يأتي في إطار الجهود المستمرة لوزارة الداخلية لتقديم أحدث الخدمات المتميزة للمواطنين والمقيمين.

وتوفر الخدمة الجديدة أعلى درجات الثقة في الحصول على الهوية الرقمية للمستخدمين من خلال تطبيق آمن وسهل الاستخدام يساهم في الحد من جرائم سرقة الهوية في الفضاء الإلكتروني.

كما يتم إنشاؤه وربطه بتوقيع إلكتروني فريد للأشخاص، والذي يتضمن شهادات رقمية وطنية يمكن للمستخدمين استخدامها من خلال التطبيق لاعتماد الإجراءات والمعاملات الإلكترونية لتتماشى مع القوانين والتشريعات السارية في دولة قطر وحماية هذه المعاملات من التزوير والاحتيال.

وتوفر الخدمة طريقة عملية وموثوقة لإثبات هوية الموّقِع على المعاملات وذلك لتجنب حالات رفض التوقيع ورفع مستوى الثقة في التعاملات الإلكترونية في دولة قطر وعلى المستوى العالمي.
