Woqod opens Madinat Al Mawater petrol station

DOHA: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) opened yesterday its 63rd service station in Madinat Al Mawater in Rawdat Rashid village.

On this occasion, Woqod’s Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, said: “We are pleased to open this new station in Madinat Al Mawater to meet the requirements. The new opening reflects our ambitious plans to expand our network and accessibility within Qatar, in order to cater to the growing demand of the local market and ensure that high-quality products and services are availed to all our customers at their convenience across the country”.

Woqod is currently engaged in the implementation of 27 petrol station projects, most of which are expected to be operational within this year.

With the addition of Madinat Al Mawater petrol station, the company’s branded stations network increased to 50 stations. The new station has three lanes that will serve Madinat Al Mawater and its neighborhood.

The petrol station will offer round-the-clock services including Sidra convenience store, auto wash facility, auto repair, tire services, and sale of LPG cylinders, gasoline and diesel products.

Woqod’s expansion strategy seeks to increase the total number of service stations operated by the company to 100 by 2020.

في إطار خطتها الاستراتيجية التي تركز على توسيع شبكة محطاتها وخدمة جميع مناطق الدولة، افتتحت قطر للوقود «وقود» محطة بترول جديدة في مدينة مواتر في منطقة روضة راشد، ليصل عدد محطاتها الإجمالي إلى 63 محطة.

وقال المهندس سعد راشد المهندي، الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة: يأتي افتتاح محطة البترول الجديدة في مدينة مواتر لتلبية الاحتياجات؛ حيث إن الافتتاح الجديد يترجم خططنا الطموحة لتوسيع شبكة محطاتنا وتسهيل الوصول إليها، كما يهدف إلى تلبية الطلب المتزايد في السوق المحلية وضمان توفير منتجات وخدمات عالية الجودة لجميع عملائنا في أنحاء الدولة. ويتوجه فريق عمل وقود بجزيل الشكر وخالص الامتنان لجميع الهيئات العامة والمدنية التي ساهمت في إنجاز هذا المشروع».

وتشرف قطر للوقود حالياً على تنفيذ 27 محطة وقود جديدة، من المتوقع أن يتم تشغيل معظمها خلال العام الحالي.

وبتشغيل محطة مدينة مواتر، ارتفع عدد المحطات الثابتة في شبكة «وقود» إلى 50 محطة. وتبلغ مساحة المحطة الجديدة 7.403متر مربع، وتحتوي على 3 خطوط لتعبئة الوقود لتخدم مدينة مواتر والمناطق المجاورة لها.;
