Qatar urgently needs strategic plan to boost domestic tourism
قطر بحاجة ماسة إلى خطة استراتيجية للنهوض بالسياحة الداخلية

Doha: A number of citizens called on the authorities responsible for establishing tourism projects in the country to start an urgent plan to establish a number of tourism facilities for the guests of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
They assured to Al-Raya that the country still needs a number of important tourist facilities, foremost of which are zoos and amusement parks for both adults and children. They also stressed the importance of rehabilitating the islands for tourism and providing safe and comfortable transportation for visitors.
They considered that the country has all the materials and manpower that contribute to turning it into the main tourist destination in the region during the post-World Cup stage, but this requires implementing the proposals of Qatari investors who presented many ideas for the development of the domestic tourism sector.
They pointed out that many countries of the world take advantage of the desert to establish activities and important tourist attractions such as safari trips, adventures, and camping in the wilderness areas. However, the Qatari mainland, despite the vast areas that characterize it, is not utilized for tourism.
They stressed that the country’s tourism facilities are still limited and below the expectations of citizens, and need to develop and implement innovative ideas that will contribute to the prosperity of domestic tourism.

الدوحة: دَعا عددٌ من المُواطنين الجهات المسؤولة عن إقامة المشاريع السياحيَّة في البلاد للبدء بخُطة عاجلة لإنشاء عددٍ من المرافق السياحيَّة لضيوف بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر ٢٠٢٢™.
وأكَّدوا لـ الراية أنَّ الدولة ما تزال بحاجة إلى عددٍ من المرافق السياحيَّة المهمة وفي مقدمتها حدائق الحيوان ومدن ألعاب مفتوحة للكبار والأطفال، كما أكدوا على أهمية تأهيل الجزر للسياحة وتوفير وسائل مواصلات تنقل الزوَّار بصورة آمنة إليها.
واعتبروا أنَّ الدولة لديها جميع الإمكانات المادية والبشرية التي تُساهم في تحويلها إلى الوجهة السياحية الرئيسية في المنطقة خلال مرحلة ما بعد كأس العالم، ولكن الأمر يتطلب تطبيق مُقترحات المستثمرين القطريين ممن قدموا العديد من الأفكار لتطوير قطاع السياحة الداخلية.
وأشاروا إلى الكثير من دول العالم تستغل المساحات الصحراويَّة في إقامة أنشطة وعناصر جذب سياحي مهمة كرحلات السفاري والمغامرات والتخييم في المناطق البرية إلا أنَّ البَرَّ القطري رغم المساحات الشاسعة التي يتميزُ بها إلا أنَّه غير مستغل سياحيًا.
وأكَّدوا أنَّ المنشآت السياحيَّة في الدولة ما تزال محدودة ودون مستوى تطلعات المواطنين وتحتاج إلى تطوير وتطبيق الأفكار المبتكرة التي من شأنها المساهمة في ازدهار السياحة الداخلية.
