Lack of recreational events frustrates park-goers during Eid
غياب الفعاليات الترفيهية في العيد يحبط رواد الحدائق

Doha: Citizens have excluded Qatar’s public parks from their favorite destinations for the obvious reason which is the lack of programs or recreational events during Eid Al-Fitr.
They stressed that public parks are preferred destinations for families during Eid, but the recreational activities that attract families came in short, especially amid anticipation and longing for group picnics that followed the pandemic and quarantine period.
One citizen said: “We need plans and programs that attract Qatari and GCC citizens to spend the Eid holiday in Qatar and we need to work on activating the internal tourism in the country, especially if we take into account the presence of facilities such as public parks and distinctive picnic areas such as Katara, The pearl, Lusail, Aspire parks, Al-Bidda and Rawdat Al-Khail, in addition to the central parks, such as Al-Gharrafa Park, which has an air-conditioned corridor, Wi-Fi and mobile charging services, as well as the availability of running tracks and sports equipment.”
Citizens pointed out that public parks were not included in the touristic activities and entertainment programs this Eid holiday, as they were limited to the Corniche and some commercial complexes, despite the availability of all services in all our parks, especially the modern ones.

الدوحة: أرجع عدد من المواطنين ضعف الإقبال على الحدائق العامة في العيد وخروجها من قائمة الوجهات المفضلة في العيد إلى عدم وجود برامج أو خطط لدعم الفعاليات الترفيهية في الحدائق العامة بالبلاد.
وأكدوا أن الحدائق العامة وجهات مميزة للعائلات خلال العيد، لكن الفعاليات الترفيهية التي تجذب الأسر معدومة خصوصاً وسط الترقب والشوق لقضاء النزهات الجماعية الذي أعقب فترة الكورونا والحجر الصحي.
أضاف احد المواطنين: “نحتاج خططًا وبرامج تجذب المواطنين القطريين والخليجيين لقضاء إجازة العيد في قطر والعمل على تنشيط السياحة الداخلية بالدولة، خصوصاً اذا أخذنا بعين الأعتبار وجود مرافق من حدائق عامة ومناطق تنزُّه مميّزة مثل كتارا واللؤلوة ولوسيل ومثل حدائق أسباير والبدع وروضة الخيل إلى جانب الحدائق المركزية التي تعد الأحدث من حيث الإمكانات والمرافق كحديقة الغرافة التي يوجد بها ممر مكيف فضلًا عن توافر خدمات الواي فاي وشحن الجوال في عدد من تلك الحدائق وتوافر مسارات وأجهزة للرياضة”.
وأشاروا إلى أن الفعاليات السياحية والبرامج الترفيهية هذا العيد كانت بعيدة عن الحدائق العامة واقتصرت على الكورنيش وبعض المجمعات التجارية رغم توافر الخدمات كافة بكل حدائقنا وبخاصة الحديثة منها.
