Six top hotels to host gymnasts and officials of Doha Worlds

Doha: The Organising Committee for the 48th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships Doha 2018 has chosen six hotels to host the athletes, officials and visiting media persons for the tournament to be held at the Aspire Dome from October 25 to November 3.

The partnership agreements with the hotels were signed at an event at The Westin Hotel, one of the official hotel for the championships, on Wednesday. The other of the six chosen hotels include the Torch Hotel, Radisson Blue, Ezdan, Movenpick and Holiday Villa.

Ali Al Hitmi, Executive Director of the Organising Committee and president Qatar Gymnastics Federation, expressed pleasure on signing the contracts with the hotels and thanked them for being partners in what will be a landmark championships being held for the first time in the Middle East. The Westin Hotel will be playing host to the official delegations, while Ezdan will host the participating teams. Over 600 gymnasts and several hundred officials will be representing 78 countries, besides officials of the International Gymnastics Federation and tournament officials.

Radisson Blu will play host to 33 of the participating delegations, while many other would be accommodated at the Torch Hotel. All officials refereeing at the championships will stationed at Movenpick, while the visiting media members will be put up at Holiday Villa.

Ali Abdulaziz Al Hammadi, Head of Accommodation at the Event Services Committee, said that the cooperation with the hotels was a clear reflection of the desire of all to provide the best of hospitality and services to all during the championships.

“The Organising Committee has provided two types of hotels, including 5-star hotels , And the other four-stars, it is up to each delegation to choose the right hotel for their stay,” he said.

“The hotels have been keen to offer many free offers and services to the delegations in order to emphasise the provision of comfort for them, and we appreciate the great cooperation by various hotels to ensure the success of the tournament and live up to the distinct status of Qatar in hosting major events.

“We have taken care of all security and safety measures to the fullest extent possible, and we are keen to provide all means to facilitate the delegations,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Gianrico Esposito, the General Manager of Westin Doha Hotel said, “We are pleased with this great cooperation with the world gymnastics championships and we shall provide the best of our services for all the athletes and delegates.”

Wael Al Telbani, General Manager of Ezdan Hotels Group, said, “We have 500 rooms for the delegations including the athletes, and we confirm that we have 3,000 other rooms ready to serve the tournament according to the requirements of the Organizing Committee.”

Ali Badah, Sales Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel said, “We are working together with the Organising Committee to provide the best of our services for the guests. The Radisson Blu will host guests from 33 countries and will host nearly 400 players. Delegations have already begun to arrive and we will continue to welcome delegations until the start of the tournament.”

Amr Najib, Assistant Director Sales at Holiday Villa, said that the hotel is ready to receive all the media that will come from all over the world. Ameen Al Darawsheh, Assistant Executive Director of The Torch Hotel, said the main delegates for the World Gymnastics will be staying with them. With the main venue for the championships, the Aspire Dome, being in close proximity to the hotel it shall help many delegates and athletes.

عقدت اللجنة المنظمة لبطولة العالم للجمباز الفني «الدوحة 2018» مؤتمراً صحافياً بفندق وستن، للكشف عن الفنادق التي ستحتضن وفود البطولة، وذلك في حضور علي الهتمي مدير اللجنة المنظمة، مدير البطولة، وممثلي الفنادق المختلفة «وستن، وراديسون بلو، والشعلة، وموفمبيك، وإزدان، وهوليداي فيلا».

تقام بطولة العالم للجمباز الفني تحت قبة أسباير خلال الفترة من 25 أكتوبر حتى 3 نوفمبر المقبل بمشاركة 78 دولة.

وقد أعرب علي الهتمي عن سعادته بتوقيع العقود مع الفنادق، مؤكداً أن التعاون يجري بين اللجنة المنظمة وإدارات الفنادق على أعلى مستوى ممكن، للمساهمة في تحقيق أقصى درجات التميز في الاستضافة.

من جانبه قال علي عبدالعزيز الحمادي -رئيس قسم الإقامة بلجنة خدمات الحدث- إن التعاون مع الفنادق يعكس الرغبة الواضحة لدى الجميع في تقديم مستوى مشرف على المستوى التنظيمي للبطولة، وقال: «لقد قامت اللجنة المنظمة بتوفير نوعين من الفنادق، تشمل فنادق 5 نجوم، وأخرى 4 نجوم، والأمر يتوقف على كل وفد في اختيار الفندق المناسب لإقامته».

وأضاف: «الفنادق من جانبها حرصت على تقديم العديد من العروض والخدمات المجانية للوفود، للتأكيد على توفير سبل الراحة لهم، ونحن نقدر التعاون الكبير لإنجاح البطولة، والتأكيد على المكانة المميزة لقطر على مستوى تنظيم الأحداث الكبرى».

«إزدان» تقدم 3000 غرفة لخدمة البطولة

قال وائل التلباني مدير مجموعة فنادق إزدان إن الفرق المشاركة في بطولة العالم للجمباز الفني ستكون في ضيافة فندق إزدان، وأضاف خلال مؤتمر صحافي: «لقد اتفقنا مع اللجنة المنظمة للبطولة على استضافة الفرق المشاركة، وتم تخصيص 500 غرفة لوفود تلك الفرق بما تضمه من رياضيين، ونؤكد أن لدينا 3000 غرفة أخرى جاهزة في خدمة البطولة بناء على متطلبات اللجنة المنظمة».

وأضاف: «هناك تعاون كبير بين إدارة مجموعة فنادق إزدان واللجنة المنظمة لبطولة العالم للجمباز الفني، لأننا نطمح معاً إلى تحقيق أقصى درجات النجاح».

«وستن» يستضيف الوفود

أكد جيانريكو أسبوسيتو -المدير العام لفندق وستن الدوحة- جاهزية الفندق لاستقبال الوفود الرسمية للبطولة، مشيراً إلى أنهم سيقدمون أفضل أنواع الخدمات.

«راديسون بلو»

قال علي بطاح -مدير مبيعات فندق راديسون بلو الدوحة- في المؤتمر الصحافي: «فندق راديسون بلو سيستضيف الضيوف من 33 دولة، وسيحتضن ما يقرب من 400 لاعب، وقد بدأت الوفود في الوصول بالفعل خلال الفترة الماضية».

الإعلام في «هوليداي فيلا»

أكد عمرو نجيب -مساعد مدير قسم المبيعات بفندق هوليداي فيلا- أن الفندق جاهز لاستقبال وسائل الإعلام التي ستحضر من جميع أنحاء العالم، وقال: «نؤكد على جاهزيتنا الكاملة لتقديم كل أنواع الخدمات لهم».

الحكام في «موفمبيك»

خصصت اللجنة المنظمة لبطولة العالم للجمباز الفني فندق موفمبيك لإقامة حكام البطولة، التي تشهد مشاركة حكمين قطريين بجانب 200 حكم تم اختيارهم من جميع أنحاء العالم.

الوفود الرئيسية بـ «الشعلة»

أعرب أمين الدراوشة -مساعد المدير التنفيذي لفندق الشعلة- أن الوفود الرئيسية لبطولة العالم للجمباز الفني ستقيم في فندق الشعلة خلال أيام البطولة، وقال خلال المؤتمر الصحافي: «لا شك أن فندق الشعلة يساهم بفضل قربه من ملاعب التدريبات والصالة الرئيسية يحظى باهتمام كبير من قبل الوفود المشاركة، لذلك تم تخصيص 105 غرف لضيوف البطولة».;
