Ministry of Labor intensifies sudden inspection campaigns at worksites to ensure law application

As part of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Ministry of Labour is making continuous efforts to ensure that the requirements for a safe working environment are met.

The Ministry, through the Department of Labour Inspection, seeks to direct advice and guidance to employers on how to remove violations. It is also keen on periodic and sudden inspections of workplaces, ensuring the application of the law, as well as monitoring the implementation of Labour legislation and general plans for labor inspection.

The Ministry also seeks to achieve a safe work environment and production without accidents and injuries, as this requires a set of procedures and rules, including:

– Elimination of industrial irregularities.

– Following hygiene and ventilation measures.

– Introducing machinery prevention systems and precautions to be taken.

– Provide workers with protective clothing, tools and personal means.

– Use of warning signs and instructions at work sites.

– Issuing detailed instructions on occupational health and safety measures to protect workers.

في إطار اليوم العالمي للصحة والسلامة المهنية تعكف وزارة العمل على بذل جهود متواصلة لضمان تحقيق الاشتراطات المطلوبة لبيئة عمل آمنة.

تسعى الوزارة عن طريق إدارة تفتيش العمل على توجيه النصح والإرشاد إلى أصحاب العمل في كيفية إزالة المخالفات وتحرص أيضا على التفتيش الدوري والمفاجئ لاماكن العمل والتأكد من تطبيق القانون إلى جانب مراقبة تنفيذ التشريعات العمالية والخطط العامة للتفتيش العمالي.

كما تسعى الوزارة إلى للوصول إلى بيئة عمل آمنة وإنتاج من دون حوادث وإصابات حيث يتطلب ذلك مجموعة من الإجراءات والقواعد ومنها:

• التخلص من المخالفات الصناعية
• اتخاذ تدابير النظافة والتهوية
• التعريف بأنظمة الوقاية من الآلات والاحيتاطيات الواجب اتخاذها
• تزويد العمال بالملابس الواقية والأدوات والوسائل الشخصية
• استخدام العلامات والإرشادات التحذيرية بمواقع العمل
• إصدار تعليمات مفصلة بشأن وسائل الصحة والسلامة المهنية لحماية العمال
