Matabekh Al-Kheir initiative launched by Qatar Charity distributes 6000 meals daily

مبادرة مطابخ الخير لـ «قطر الخيرية» توزّع 6000 وجبة يومياً

With the generous support from Qatar philanthropists, Qatar Charity in coordination with Ministry of Public Health and the concerned parties in the State, continues distributing hot meals as part of Matabekh Al-Kheir initiative, distributing 94,000 meals as of April 7, as part of the prevention and awareness-raising campaign to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

6,000 hot meals are distributed daily over three periods, both in the industrial zone and quarantine centre in Mkeenes, with the participation of Qatar Charity Volunteers and Supervisors. A number of popular foundations and restaurants, such as Canaan Land Kitchens, Al Wakra Folk Kitchens, Al Rayyan Folk Kitchens and Luxury Catering Kitchens, as well as Mazratty Poultry and Ghadir Dairy, and some other in-kind donations from The philanthropists of Qatar, are also participating in the initiative.

Mr. Mohammed Al Ghamdi, Head Executive Assistant of Qatar Charity’s Governance and Institutional Development Division, praised the support of the collaborators in this initiative and the Qatar philanthropists for their generous donation, hoping for more support so that the beneficiaries of this initiative can be doubled.

He said: “We offer hot and varied meals and focus on the category of workers, especially in the region of Mkeenes, and we hope to cover the whole region and expand, whether by increasing workers or covering other areas.” He stressed that “Qatar Charity” will continue its support for the category of workers until the decline of the coronavirus with the will and power of God Almighty.

Bassel Sweila, Operations Manager at Canaan Land Kitchens, said they are happy to participate in the initiative and stressed the full commitment of kitchen staff to the conditions of prevention, hygiene and sterilization.

Adel Abdullah, a volunteer, praised the initiative, saying that it contributes greatly to helping workers in this crisis, as this group deserves the support, and that Qatar Charity, which reaches out to the needy anywhere in the world, will spare no effort in helping those living on the land of Qatar.

For his part, social media activist Abdullah al-Anzi, a volunteer in Matabekh Al-Kheir initiative, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the good people of Qatar and all those who contributed to this initiative, and to Qatar Charity for its efforts and continued support in this crisis, and called on everyone to join hands and stay at home so that we can reduce the Incidence of the Virus

Publicist Hassan al-Sa’i, a volunteer at the initiative, also expressed his happiness to participate by filling meals for workers, praising the preventive and health measures in the kitchen, and said that this is a good effort from Qatar Charity and its partners and volunteers who work hard to help the workers.

بدعم كريم من محسني قطر، تواصل «قطر الخيرية» بالتنسيق مع وزارة الصحة العامة والجهات المعنية في الدولة، توزيع وجبات ساخنة، ضمن مبادرة #مطابخ _الخير، حيث قامت بتوزيع 94 ألف وجبة حتى يوم 7 أبريل الحالي، وذلك في إطار الحملة التوعوية الوقائية للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا.

يتم توزيع 6000 وجبة ساخنة يومياً على ثلاث فترات، في كل من المنطقة الصناعية ومركز الحجر الصحي في مكينيس، بمشاركة متطوعي ومشرفي «قطر الخيرية». كما يشارك في المبادرة عدد من المؤسسات والمطاعم الشعبية مثل مطابخ أرض كنعان والمطابخ الشعبية الوكرة والمطابخ الشعبية الريان ومطابخ لكشري كاترينغ، بالإضافة إلى شركتي مزرعتي للدواجن وغدير للألبان، وبعض التبرعات العينية الأخرى من محسني قطر.

وثمّن السيد محمد الغامدي مساعد الرئيس التنفيذي لقطاع الحوكمة والتطوير المؤسسي بـ «قطر الخيرية»، دعم الجهات المتعاونة في هذه المبادرة ومحسني قطر على تبرعهم السخي، متمنياً مزيداً من الدعم حتى تتم مضاعفة المستفيدين من هذه المبادرة.

وقال: «نقدم وجبات ساخنة ومتنوعة ونركز على فئة العمال، خاصة في منطقة مكينيس، ونتمنى أن نغطي كل المنطقة وأن نتوسع، سواء بزيادة العمال أو تغطية مناطق أخرى». وأكد أن «قطر الخيرية» ستواصل دعمها لفئة العمال حتى انحسار فيروس كورونا بحول الله تعالى.

من جهته أعرب باسل سويلة مدير العمليات بمطابخ أرض كنعان عن سعادتهم بالمشاركة في المبادرة، وأكد الالتزام الكامل للعاملين بالمطبخ بشروط الوقاية والنظافة والتعقيم.

بدوره أشاد الإعلامي عادل عبدالله المتطوع بهذه المبادرة، وقال إنها تساهم كثيراً في مساعدة العمال في ظل هذه الأزمة، حيث إن هذه الفئة تستحق الوقوف إلى جانبها، وأن «قطر الخيرية» التي تمتد أياديها للمحتاجين في أي مكان في العالم لن تدخر وسعاً في مساعدة من يعيشون على أرض قطر.

من جهته، أعرب الناشط في وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي عبدالله العنزي، المتطوع في المبادرة #مطابخ_الخير، عن شكره وتقديره للخيرين من أهل قطر وكل الجهات التي ساهمت في هذه المبادرة، ولـ «قطر الخيرية» على جهودها ودعمها المتواصل في هذه الأزمة، ودعا الجميع إلى التكاتف والتعاضد والبقاء في المنازل حتى نقلل من حالات الإصابة بالفيروس.

كما أعرب الإعلامي حسن الساعي، المتطوع في المبادرة، عن سعادته بالمشاركة من خلال تعبئة الوجبات الخاصة بالعمال، مشيداً بالإجراءات الوقائية والصحية المتبعة في المطبخ، وقال إن هذا مجهود طيب من «قطر الخيرية» وشركائها والمتطوعين الذين يعملون بجد واجتهاد لمساعدة العمال.
