Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya sign pacts
اتفاقية شراكة بين لخويا والدرك الوطني الفرنسي
DOHA: The Ministry of Interior yesterday signed an agreement to exchange information, training, development and entry and exit procedures with its counterpart in Australia on the sidelines of Milipol Qatar 2018.
Director General of Passports Major General Muhammad Ahmad Al Ateeq, and Australian Regional Director for Middle East Affairs at the Australian Ministry of the Interior Fiona Andrew signed the agreement.
On this occasion, Major General Muhammad Ahmad Al Ateeq stressed the importance of this agreement to Qatar and Australia in the areas related to passport management, pointing out that when applied, it will have a positive impact on the mechanism of work between the two friendly countries.
He pointed out that this agreement has a training and development framework for human resources, and it unites the procedures between the two countries, as training courses and workshops will be organized which will benefit workers in the passports and immigration sector in both countries.
For her part, Fiona Andrew explained that this agreement reflects the close relations and cooperation between the Ministries of the Interior in both countries. She praised the great development witnessed by the State of Qatar, especially with regard to the passport and immigration sector and its reflection on the Australian side.
The Security Systems Department of the Ministry of Interior signed a cooperation agreement with Milestone Systems, a global leader in security systems, specialized in the development of camera and integration systems.
On this occasion, Lt. Col. Jassim Al Sayed, Director of Security Systems Department at the Ministry of Interior, Head of the Technical Affairs Unit and member of Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy said that the agreement signed by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Security Systems Department, with Milestone Systems, is for training and development. The company will implement training courses on the programs and systems that it develops and updates, which are part of interest to the Ministry of Interior in Qatar.
He added that in the three-year agreement, Milestone will train specialists from security systems management personnel to plan and develop cameras’ conditions and locations, and their smart systems, as well as the development and updating of these systems, and what will happen in the future.
Separately, Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and the General Directorate of the French National Gendarmerie yesterday signed a partnership and cooperation agreement in the field of security training, under which the French National Gendarmerie Officers School will train a number of officers of the Lekhwiya Force.
The agreement was signed by Deputy Commander of the Lekhwiya Force Brig. Gen. Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Thani, and by Director General of the French National Gendarmerie General Richard Lizurey.
The agreement aims at enhancing cooperation between the two sides in security fields, especially training, operational support and technical capacity development.
Deputy Commander of the Lekhwiya Force Brig. Gen. Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani said that the agreement signed with the French gendarmerie comes within the framework of the distinguished partnership between the two sides, which started in 2005, and resulted in a number of projects and joint agreements and exchange of experiences.
He added that there is a common belief between the two sides that cooperation between them should take a broader dimension in the field of institutional and specialized training, supported by the distinguished relations between the State of Qatar and the French Republic.
At the signing ceremony, French Deputy Minister of Interior Laurent Nunez praised the level of Qatari-French relations and the existing cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, including security and combating terrorism.

بحضور عدد من العارضين وأصحاب الشركات في معرض ميليبول 2018 وقعت قوة لخويا والمديرية العامة لقوات الدرك الفرنسي الوطني اتفاقية شراكة وتعاون في مجال التدريب الأمني، تتولى بموجبها كلية الضباط التابعة للدرك الوطني الفرنسي تدريب عدد من الضباط بقوة لخويا. وقع الاتفاقية عن قوة لخويا اللواء عبدالعزيز بن فيصل بن محمد آل ثاني نائب قائد قوة لخويا، ووقع عن الجانب الفرنسي الفريق أول ريشار ليزوريه مدير عام الدرك الوطني الفرنسي، بجناح قوة لخويا بمعرض ميليبول. تهدف الاتفاقية إلى تعزيز التعاون بين الجانبين في المجالات الأمنية خاصة التدريب والدعم العملياتي وتطوير القدرات الفنية.
تعبير عن شراكة مميزة
وقال اللواء عبدالعزيز بن فيصل بن محمد آل ثاني نائب قائد قوة «لخويا» إن الاتفاقية التي وقعت مع الدرك الوطني الفرنسي، تأتي في إطار الشراكة المميزة بين الجانبين والتي بدأت منذ عام 2005، وأثمرت عددا من المشروعات والاتفاقيات المشتركة وتبادل الخبرات.
وقال نائب قائد لخويا: هناك إيمان مشترك بين الجانبين بأن يأخذ التعاون أبعادا أوسع في مجال التدريب التأسيسي والتخصصي، يدعم ذلك العلاقات المتميزة بين دولة قطر والجمهورية الفرنسية.
وحول معرض ميليبول قال نائب قائد لخويا إن معرض ميليبول فرصة لتبادل الخبرات والاطلاع على آخر التطورات في أنظمة الأمن الداخلي والدفاع المدني، خاصة أن هذا المعرض من أهم المعارض المتخصصة في المنطقة ويشهد استقطاب عدد كبير من المتخصصين والمهتمين بهذا الشأن، إضافة إلى عدد من الندوات المتخصصة.
وكان معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية قد تفقد جناح قوة «لخويا» بمعرض ميليبول، أمس خلال افتتاحه فعاليات الدورة الثانية عشرة للمعرض الذي يقام بمركز الدوحة للمؤتمرات والمعارض في الفترة من 29-31 أكتوير الجاري. واطلع معاليه على الآليات والمعدات التي تعرضها إدارات ومجموعات القوة خلال مهامها المتنوعة، إضافة إلى عدد من الاختراعات التي ساهمت سرية التقنية بالقوة في تطويرها مع عدد من الإدارات الأمنية.
سيناريو للتعامل مع الكوارث
وتعرض «لخويا» في جناحها الذي تبلغ مساحته 1045 مترا مربعا سيناريو لمهام عمليات البحث والإنقاذ التي تقوم بها مجموعة البحث والإنقاذ القطرية الدولية، وكيفية التعامل أثناء الكوارث وإنقاذ الضحايا، كما تعرض مجموعة المواكب والدوريات الدراجات التي تستخدمها في تأمين مواكب كبار الشخصيات، وتعرض قيادة العمليات الخاصة الاليات التي تستخدمها في مكافحة الشغب والتصدي للمخالفين، كما تعرض مجموعة المتفجرات الأجهزة المتطورة لإبطال وإزالة الأجسام المشتبه بها، فيما تعرض مجموعة الوحدة الخاصة «لفداوية» المعدات المستخدمة في مكافحة الجريمة، وخصصت لخويا جزءا من جناحها لعرض عدد من الاختراعات التي ساهمت سرية التقنية الأمنية في تطويرها.
