Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.
Following the meeting, HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti issued the following statement: At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation given by HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari on the latest developments to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The Cabinet affirmed the continuation of the precautionary measures that have been taken to combat the pandemic.
After that, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows: First – Approval – in principle – of a draft law on documents and archives.
The bill aims to regulate the handling, classification, preservation and protection of public, historical, national and other documents.
Second – Approval – in principle – of a draft Amiri decision regulating the Qatar National Archive.
The National Archive aims to organize the collection and preservation of documents and archives, classify their confidentiality, and supervise them. In order to achieve this, it has the right to exercise all the powers and competencies necessary to achieve its objectives.
Third – Take the necessary measures to ratify an agreement on canceling visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and special passports between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Fourth – Approval of a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of civil aviation between the Civil Aviation Authority in the State of Qatar and the Civil Aviation Commission of Latin American countries.

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس يوم أمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري.
وعقب الاجتماع أدلى سعادة السيد محمد بن عبدالله السليطي، وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي: في بداية الاجتماع استمع مجلس الوزراء إلى الشرح الذي قدمته سعادة الدكتورة حنان بنت محمد الكواري، وزير الصحة العامة، حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا (كوفيد- 19)، وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء.
وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:
أولاً- الموافقة، من حيث المبدأ، على مشروع قانون بشأن الوثائق والمحفوظات.
ويهدف مشروع القانون إلى تنظيم التعامل مع الوثائق العامة والتاريخية والوطنية وغيرها من الوثائق، وتصنيفها والحفاظ عليها وحمايتها.
ثانياً- الموافقة، من حيث المبدأ، على مشروع قرار أميري بتنظيم دار الوثائق القطرية.
وتهدف دار الوثائق إلى تنظيم جمع وحفظ الوثائق والمحفوظات، وتصنيف سريتها، والإشراف عليها، ولها في سبيل تحقيق ذلك ممارسة كافة الصلاحيات والاختصاصات اللازمة لتحقيق أهدافها.
ثالثاً- اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للتصديق على اتفاقية حول إلغاء متطلبات التأشيرة لحاملي جوازات السفر الدبلوماسية والخاصة بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية.
رابعاً- الموافقة على مشروع مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في مجال الطيران المدني بين الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني في دولة قطر ولجنة الطيران المدني لدول أمريكا اللاتينية.
