Doha: Safe environment, advanced health services, improved education system and transformative infrastructure among other factors have reinforced Qatar’s top rankings in the Legatum Prosperity Index 2021.
The country has ranked 46th in the overall Prosperity Index for 2021 and scored well compared to many countries in the region.
Legatum Prosperity Index recent ranking indicates that Qatar performs most strongly in Safety and Security and Enterprise Conditions, and showed its biggest improvement in education, compared to a decade ago.
According to the Index, Qatar ranked 15 in the safety and security category, 20th in enterprise condition, 39th in health, 46th in living conditions and 58th in education.
The Index shows that, overall, Denmark is the most prosperous country in the world, followed by Norway and Sweden. North America remains the most prosperous region, followed by Western Europe and Eastern Europe.
Several surveys have ranked Qatar with high scores for safety and living standards. Qatar has maintained its position as the ‘Safest Country’ according to Numbeo Crime Index by Country 2022 out of 142 surveyed nations.
Doha was ranked as one of the safest city for solo women travellers by a top UK’s ‘Holidu’ website. Doha is ranked 15th safest city for women to travel alone and is the only city within the region included in the list of 50.

وبحسب المؤشر، احتلت قطر المرتبة 15 في فئة السلامة والأمن، والمرتبة 20 في حالة المؤسسات، والمرتبة 39 في الصحة، والمرتبة 46 في مستوى المعيشة، والمرتبة 58 في التعليم.
ويُظهر المؤشر أن الدنمارك، بشكل عام، هي الدولة الأكثر ازدهاراً في العالم، تليها النرويج والسويد.
وتبقى أمريكا الشمالية المنطقة الأكثر ازدهاراً، تليها أوروبا الغربية وأوروبا الشرقية.
وصنفت العديد من الدراسات الاستقصائية قطر بدرجة عالية من حيث معايير السلامة والمعيشة. حيث حافظت قطر على مكانتها باعتبارها “الدولة الأكثر أماناً” وفق مؤشر الجريمة “نامبيو” حسب الدولة 2022 من بين 142 دولة شملها الاستطلاع.
وصُنفت الدوحة كواحدة من أكثر المدن أماناً للمسافرين بمفردهم من قبل أحد أفضل مواقع “هوليدو” في المملكة المتحدة. وتحتل الدوحة المرتبة 15 بين أكثر المدن أماناً بالنسبة للسيدات للسفر بمفردها وهي المدينة الوحيدة داخل المنطقة المدرجة في قائمة الخمسين.
