Vodafone Qatar launches direct carrier billing service with Google

Vodafone Qatar yesterday announced the launch of direct carrier billing service with Google to make it easier for Android users to purchase apps, games, and digital content on their devices.

With the introduction of direct carrier billing with Google, customers can now perform any online purchase transaction through the Google Play Store by paying for their purchases via their mobile phone balance without the need of using their credit or debit cards.

Today we’re pleased to offer our customers a more convenient, safe, and easy way to purchase Google Play apps, games and eBooks using their Vodafone account,” said Vodafone Qatar COO Diego Camberos. Direct carrier billing allows users of select mobile operators to pay for digital content on Google Play by billing purchases to their mobile accounts — postpaid or prepaid.

أعلنت شركة «فودافون قطر»، أمس، عن إطلاق خدمة «الفوترة المباشرة» بالتعاون مع «Google»، وذلك لتمكين مشتركيها من مستخدمي «أندرويد» من شراء ما يفضّلونه من التطبيقات والألعاب والمحتوى الرقمي لهواتفهم المحمولة. ومع إطلاق هذه الخدمة، بات بإمكان عملاء الشركة اليوم إجراء أي عملية شراء إلكترونية على متجر «Google Play»، وسداد قيمتها عن طريق رصيد هواتفهم المحمولة، ودون الحاجة إلى استخدام بطاقتهم الائتمانية.

وبهذه المناسبة، قال دييجو كامبيروس، الرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات في «فودافون قطر»: «بصفتنا من الشركات الرائدة في مجال الخدمات الرقمية، نحرص دوماً على توفير أفضل تجربة رقمية ممكنة لعملائنا. ويسرّنا اليوم أن نزوّدهم بطريقة أسرع وأكثر سهولة وراحة، لشراء ما يرغبون فيه من ألعاب وتطبيقات وكتب رقمية على متجر (Google Play)، وكل ذلك باستخدام حساب (فودافون) الخاص بهم».

تتيح خدمة «الفوترة المباشرة» للمشتركين إمكانية شراء المحتوى الرقمي عبر فاتورة الدفع الآجل، أو الرصيد المدفوع مسبقاً. وبمجرد تثبيت إعداد خيار الدفع على الجهاز، سيتمكن العملاء من شراء تطبيقات الجوال وغيرها على متجر «Google Play» من خلال رصيد الهاتف المتحرك.;
