Doha Municipality disinfects Souq Waqif, Sheraton Park and other public places

Doha Municipality in collaboration with a number of local agricultural companies has launched a campaign to disinfect key places throughout the municipality.

The campaign was launched following the preventive and precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said in a statement.

Sheraton Public Park, buildings of MME and Shura Council have been disinfected.

The cleaning and disinfection operation was also conducted at Souq Waqif covering yards, walkways, doors, windows of commercial shops, toilets and other vital areas of the Souq.

A special team of workers equipped with necessary tools of cleaning and spray of disinfection participated in the operation. The cleaners also washed outer areas of Souq Waqif and garbage containers.

First Agricultural Company, AG Middle East Agriculture Company, Sidra Agricultural Company, European Agriculture Company and Al Adekhar Agricultural Company participated in the disinfection campaign of MME.

قامت بلدية الدوحة، ممثلة بقسم الحدائق التابع لإدارة شؤون الخدمات، بالتعاون مع عدد من الشركات الزراعية، بتنظيم حملة تعقيم استهدفت سلسلة من المواقع الحيوية ضمن الحدود الإدارية التابعة للبلدية.

تأتي هذه الخطوة انطلاقاً من الإجراءات الوقائية والتدابير الاحترازية التي تتخذها الدولة للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا المستجد (كوفيد – 19).

وجرى خلال الفترة الماضية وحتى اليوم، تعقيم كل من حديقة الشيراتون العامة، ومبنى وزارة البلدية والبيئة، ومبنى مجلس الشورى.

كما جرى تنفيذ حملة يوم السبت الماضي، لتنظيف سوق واقف، شملت رش وتعقيم الساحات والممرات الخارجية والداخلية للسوق، وأبواب ونوافذ المحلات التجارية، بالإضافة إلى دورات المياه العامة، وغيرها من الأماكن الحيوية بالسوق.

وشارك في حملة تنظيف وتعقيم السوق فريق عمل متكامل مكون من عمال مجهزين بمعدات وأدوات رش وتعقيم على مستوى عال.

كما شملت الحملة تنفيذ أعمال غسل لأهم الأماكن الرئيسية للسوق، بالإضافة إلى غسل حاويات النظافة.
