MOCI Announces List of Discounted Items for Ramadan

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) announced the initiative of the list of discounted consumer goods for the holy month of Ramadan for this year, which includes more than 800 goods, which will be implemented from today (Wednesday) until the end of the holy month, in coordination with major consumer complexes.

The annual initiative comes within the framework of keenness to meet the citizen and resident’s needs of consumer goods at reduced prices in the holy month in which the purchase of consumer goods goes up, the MOCI said.

The list of discounted consumer goods includes all the basic commodities needed during the holy month, such as flour, sugar, rice, pasta, chicken, cooking oil, milk and other food commodities, in addition to non-food items such as tissue paper, aluminum foil, and detergents, washing powders and other commodities of relative importance to the consumer and which are frequently consumed during the blessed month.

The MOCI confirmed that the list of discounted consumer goods had been circulated to all major consumer complexes in the country, and that consumers could view the list of discounted consumer goods through the Ministry’s website and all its social media platforms.

The MOCI noted the need to adhere to the set prices until the end of the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that it would intensify its inspection campaigns to detect violators, and refer them to competent authorities to take appropriate measures in order to protect consumers’ rights. It also urged the need for community participation in reporting any cases of price violations through the ministry’s communication channels.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة التجارة والصناعة عن مبادرة قائمة السلع الاستهلاكية المخفضة لشهر رمضان المبارك لهذا العام، والتي تشمل أكثر من 800 سلعة، سيبدأ تطبيقها اعتبارا من اليوم /الأربعاء/ وحتى نهاية الشهر الفضيل، وذلك بالتنسيق مع المجمعات الاستهلاكية الكبرى.

وذكرت وزارة التجارة والصناعة أن هذه المبادرة السنوية تأتي في إطار حرصها على توفير احتياجات المواطنين والمقيمين من السلع الاستهلاكية بأسعار مخفضة خلال الشهر الفضيل حيث يزداد الإنفاق على شراء السلع الغذائية.

وتشمل قائمة السلع الاستهلاكية المخفضة، جميع السلع الأساسية التي يحتاجها المستهلك خلال الشهر الفضيل مثل الطحين، والسكر، والأرز، والمعكرونة، والدجاج، والزيت، والحليب وغيرها من السلع الغذائية، بالإضافة إلى السلع غير الغذائية مثل المناديل الورقية، وورق القصدير (الألمنيوم)، والمنظفات بأنواعها، ومساحيق الغسيل وغيرها من السلع ذات الأهمية النسبية للمستهلك والتي يكثر استهلاكها خلال الشهر المبارك.

وأكدت الوزارة أنه تم تعميم قائمة السلع الاستهلاكية المخفضة على جميع المجمعات الاستهلاكية الكبرى في الدولة، وأنه يمكن للمستهلكين الاطلاع على قائمة السلع الاستهلاكية المخفضة من خلال الموقع الإلكتروني للوزارة وكافة منصات التواصل الاجتماعي التابعة لها.

ونوهت وزارة التجارة بضرورة الالتزام بالأسعار المحددة حتى نهاية شهر رمضان المبارك، مؤكدة أنها ستكثف حملاتها التفتيشية لضبط المخالفين، وإحالتهم إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة وذلك حماية لحقوق المستهلكين، كما حثت المستهلكين على ضرورة المشاركة المجتمعية في الإبلاغ عن أي حالات خاصة بمخالفة الأسعار عن طريق قنوات التواصل الخاصة بالوزارة.
