Half a Billion of Coronavirus Vaccine Doses Globally

According to Bloomberg, the total number of vaccines available for distribution globally is more than 528.53 million doses, distributed in 141 countries around the world, with an average daily vaccination of 13.8 million doses. The United States topped the list of the world’s top vaccine-buying countries with a total of 140.18 million doses, during which 27.6 % of the total population received a single dose and 15.1 % on both doses.

In second place came China, with 91.34 million vaccine doses, while vaccination details are not available.

In third place came the EU bloc, with 66.85 million doses, distributed among 10.2 % of the total population of the bloc received the first dose, and 4.4 % of the population received the doses.

India, which received 59.5 million doses, accounted for 3.7 % of the population, and 0.6 % of the population received the first dose, 0.6 % on the two doses, and Britain came fifth with 33.02 million doses, with no vaccination details.

Brazil came sixth, with a total of 19.25 million doses, followed by Turkey seventh with 14.65 million doses, with 9.9 % of the population receiving one dose and 7.7 % on the two doses, according to the same source.

According to a survey conducted by Anadolia, the top four countries (the United States, China, India, Britain), together with the European Union, accounted for 73.9 % of the total number of vaccine doses offered globally.

وذكرت صحيفة نيكي اليابانية أن اليابان تجهز لإصدار شهادات صحية رقمية لمواطنيها الذين حصلوا على التطعيم ضد فيروس كورونا لتنضم بذلك إلى الصين والاتحاد الأوروبي ودول أخرى اتخذت إجراءات مشابهة تهدف إلى تعزيز السفر الدولي. وقال التقرير إن الشهادة ستدار على تطبيق بالهاتف المحمول مما يتيح لحامله إثبات حصوله على التطعيم عند ركوب طائرة أو دخول فندق.
