During today’s episode, “Watani-al-Habib Sabah al-Khair” program on Qatar Radio opened the file of traffic violations committed by delivery bike drivers, noting that they endanger everyone’s lives as they may cause fatal traffic accidents.
During a citizen’s participation in the program, she stated that the delivery drivers suddenly came out racing from all sides around her while she was driving.
She indicated that she could no longer control her car, which would have caused a traffic accident for her and her children. and that the delivery bikes were racing with each other recklessly.
The program’s presenters put forward a proposal for delivery companies to organize awareness sessions for drivers about the dangers of reckless driving and racing between vehicles without attention, in coordination with the General Traffic Department.
They cited one of the possible reasons for the increased recklessness and speed of delivery bike drivers, which may be that they get more profit on each food delivery order, which will push them to speed up to deliver the largest number of orders possible.
Al-Sharq website discussed the issue of delivery bikers many times before, noting the seriousness of their reckless driving and traffic violations such as overtaking and driving quickly and recklessly. It stressed the need to tighten control over them in order to save lives.

وذكرت مواطنة خلال مشاركتها في البرنامج أن سائقي دراجات توصيل الطلبات خرجوا فجأة بشكل سريع وعلى شكل سباق من كل الجوانب من حولها وهي تقود السيارة.
وأشارت إلى أنها لم تعد قادرة على التحكم بالسيارة، مما كان سيتسبب بوقوع حادث سير لها هي وأطفالها المتواجدين معها. وأن سائقي دراجات توصيل الطلبات كانوا في حالة تسابق مع بعضهم البعض بشكل متهور.
وطرح مقدمو البرنامج مقترحاً بتنظيم شركات توصيل الطلبات محاضرات توعوية للسائقين حول خطورة القيادة المتهورة والسير بين المركبات بدون انتباه بالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
وأشاروا إلى أحد الأسباب المحتملة لزيادة تهور سائقي دراجات توصيل الطلبات وسرعتهم وهو ربما حصولهم على نسبة على كل طلبية توصيل طعام مما سيدفعهم إلى السرعة لتوصيل أكثر عدد ممكن من الطلبات.
وناقش موقع الشرق موضوع سائقي دراجات توصيل الطلبات مرات عديدة من قبل مشيراً إلى خطورة تهورهم في القيادة وارتكابهم مخالفات مرورية مثل التجاوز والقيادة بسرعة وتهور. وشدد على ضرورة تشديد الرقابة عليهم حفاظاً على الأرواح.
