Complaints: Young people “drifting” in residential neighborhoods at night

A caller to Qatar Radio’s “Watani al-Habib” program complained on Tuesday that some young people had been “drifting” in his residential area.
He said that he has been residing in the Abal Heeran area since 2017, and that this area has a street of about 5 kilometers long that some young people use it to drift and thus causing inconvenience to the residents.
He pointed out that his suffering continues due to street races, “drifting” by young people from 10 p.m. to 3 or 4 a.m., adding: “We cannot sleep, we have jobs to wake up to, and we have children and elderly people who needs to sleep.”

اشتكى أحد المتصلين ببرنامج “وطني الحبيب” على إذاعة قطر، يوم الثلاثاء، من قيام بعض الشباب بـ”التحفيص” بالسيارات في المنطقة السكنية التي يقيم بها.
وقال إنه يقيم في منطقة أبا الحيران منذ عام 2017 وأن هذه المنطقة تحوي شارعاً طوله حوالي 5 كيلومترات يسئ استغلاله بعض الشباب بممارسة “التحفيص” والتلاعب بالسيارات ويسببون إزعاجاً للسكان.
وأشار إلى أن معاناته مستمرة بسبب سباقات السيارات و”التحفيص” والتلاعب التي يقوم بها الشباب من الساعة 10 مساءً إلى الثالثة أو الرابعة فجراً، مضيفاً: “لا نستطيع النوم وعندنا دوامات ولدينا أطفال وكبار السن.”
