Doha: The phenomenon of partitioned villas in residential areas and neighborhoods is an ongoing problem that still exists and effective solutions have not yet been developed. Over the years, this phenomenon has worsened and increased significantly in terms of the influx of the largest number of families to live in the same house or villa, which negatively affected the whole infrastructure. and caused great pressure on water and electricity, not to mention the congestion of roads and parking spaces within the regions as a result of the spread of this phenomenon.
Amid calls from citizens to eliminate the phenomenon of partitioned villas for years, the concerned authorities have not lift a finger, with the process of partitioned homes inhabited by dozens of families continues.
Citizens, specialists and members of the Municipal Council stressed that the main reason behind the persistence of this problem is due to the greed of some real estate owners to achieve financial gain from the process of partitioning and leasing their properties without any regard for the effects these operations have on the infrastructure in residential areas.

ظاهرة تقسيم الفلل في المناطق والاحياء السكنية، مشكلة مستمرة وما زالت قائمة ولم توضع لها الحلول الناجعة بعد، ومع مر السنين تفاقمت هذه الظاهرة وزادت بشكل ملحوظ من حيث توافد اكبر عدد من العائلات للسكن في نفس المنزل أو الفيلا، وهو ما انعكس سلبا على البنية التحتية بأكملها، وتسبب بضغط كبير على المياه والكهرباء، ناهيك عن ازدحام الطرق ومواقف السيارات داخل المناطق نتيجة انتشار هذه الظاهرة.
ووسط دعوات المواطنين للقضاء على ظاهرة تقسيم الفلل منذ سنوات، إلا أن الجهات المعنية لم تحرك ساكنا حتى اليوم مع استمرار عملية تقسيم المنازل التي يسكنها عشرات العائلات.
وأكد مواطنون ومختصون وأعضاء من المجلس البلدي أن السبب الرئيسي وراء استمرارية هذه المشكلة يعود إلى طمع بعض اصحاب العقارات في تحقيق الكسب المادي من وراء عملية تقسيم عقاراتهم وتأجيرها دون أي مبالاة بما تحدثه هذه العمليات من تأثيرات على البنية التحتية في المناطق السكنية.
