Ashghal completes 85% Al Wukair Road upgrading work
أشغال تنجز 85% من من أعمال التطوير على طريق الوكير

Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that it has completed 85 percent of Al Wukair Road upgrading works, with all the remaining work scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
The repair work included converting the Health Centre Roundabout to a signalized intersection and conversion of Al Wakra Hospital Roundabout has made headway.
Muneera Al Mohannadi, Project Engineer in Roads Projects Dept in Ashghal, said that, “the remaining works include asphalt final layer, interlock works, street lighting installation, road marks and signs.”
Upon completion of all works, the project will provide 4km of pedestrian walkways alongside 2km of Al Wukair Road, besides the conversion of two roundabouts into signalised intersections, and upgrading the TSE, surface, and stormwater lines.

أعلنت هيئة الأشغال العامة (أشغال) عن إنجاز 85% من أعمال التطوير على طريق الوكير.
وأوضحت أشغال عبر سلسلة تغريدات على حسابها على تويتر أنه تم تحويل الدوار المعروف بدوار المركز الصحي إلى إشارة ضوئية.
وأشارت إلى أن أعمال تحويل دوار مستشفى الوكرة قاربت على الانتهاء، ومن المقرر الانتهاء من تنفيذ باقي الأعمال في نهاية الربع الثاني من 2022.
قالت المهندسة منيرة المهندي، مهندسة المشروع بإدارة مشروعات الطرق في أشغال: “تتمثل الأعمال المتبقية في تنفيذ الطبقة النهائية للإسفلت وتركيب الانترلوك وأعمدة إنارة الشارع وعلامات وإشارات الطريق.”
وعند انتهاء كافة الأعمال، سيوفر المشروع مسارات للمشاة بطول 4 كم على جانبي 2 كم من طريق الوكير، وتحويل الدوارين المعروفين بدوار المركز الصحي ودوار مستشفى الوكرة إلى إشارتين ضوئيتين، وتحديث خطوط شبكة المياه المعالجة وشبكة تصريف المياه السطحية ومياه الأمطار.
