QRCS Delivers Humanitarian Aid to People of Gaza

Doha: In cooperation with Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has completed the distribution of humanitarian aid to those affected by the latest war on Gaza.

Regarding the mechanism of aid distribution and number of beneficiaries, head of QRCSs representation office in Gaza, Dr. Akram Nassar, explained, “The aid distribution came under Palestine relief campaign launched by QRCS to help the people of Gaza during the recent war, which left behind hundreds of damaged homes and buildings, as well as thousands of displaced families.”

According to him, this humanitarian intervention helped alleviate the suffering of 12,000 worst-hit people, by distributing food parcels and relief kits worth around QR 500,000 in total.

With its numerous relief operations in Gaza, such as the Warm Winter and Ramadan Iftar projects, QRCS aims at alleviating the suffering of the poorest families in Gaza. Last year, it helped up to 100,000 beneficiaries, at a total cost of more than QR 5 million.

الدوحة: انتهى الهلال الأحمر القطري، بالتعاون مع نظيره الفلسطيني، من توزيع مساعدات إنسانية على المتضررين من العدوان الأخير على قطاع غزة، وذلك في إطار قافلة المساعدات الإنسانية التي تم تسييرها مؤخرا.

وأوضخ الدكتور أكرم نصار، مدير المكتب التمثيلي للهلال الأحمر القطري في قطاع غزة، أن توزيع المساعدات جاء في إطار حملة /كلنا فلسطين/، التي أطلقها الهلال لإغاثة أهل غزة أثناء العدوان الأخير على القطاع، والذي أسفر عن تدمير مئات البيوت والمنشآت السكنية، إلى جانب تشريد آلاف العائلات من مناطقهم، لافتا إلى أن هذا التدخل الإنساني ساعد في التخفيف من معاناة 12 ألف شخص من الفئات الأشد تضررا، وتضمن توزيع طرود غذائية وإغاثية بتكلفة إجمالية بلغت حوالي نصف مليون ريال قطري.

جدير بالذكر أن الهلال الأحمر القطري يسعى من خلال تنفيذ العديد من المشاريع الإغاثية، /كالشتاء الدافئ/ و/إفطار الصائم/، إلى التخفيف من معاناة العائلات الأشد فقرا في قطاع غزة، علما أن 100 ألف نسمة قد استفادوا العام الماضي من مشاريعه الإغاثية، بتكلفة إجمالية تجاوزت 5 ملايين ريال قطري.
