Doha: After a work day or even on holidays, most people like to go home, craving a quiet, relaxing time with themselves, family, or even friends.

Activists and tweeters started to express their displeasure, screenshooting the unread message counter, hundreds of spam messages, and hundreds of annoying notifications.
Many of them have indicated that they no longer pay attention to important messages such as work-related messages or health appointments in the midst of the rush of advertising messages.

بعد انتهاء الدوام والعودة للمنزل أو حتى في أيام العطلات، جل ما يصبو إليه معظم الناس هو قضاء وقت هادئ هانئ مع النفس أو العائلة أو حتى الأصدقاء.
“وناسة” يظنها الجميع سهلة المنال، ينشدونها لكن لا ينالونها إذ يعكر صفوها رنين الهاتف باتصال مرة وبرسالة دعائية مرات، “هل ترغب في خدمة غسيل منزلية لسيارتك؟” “احصل على خصم على عيادة الأسنان هذا الأسبوع”، “خدمات منزلية عالية الجودة وبأسعار معقولة.”
ناشطون ومغردون عبر تويتر فتحوا الباب للتعبير عن استيائهم من ذلك الأمر، بادروا بتصوير عداد الرسائل غير المقروءة، مئات الرسائل الدعائية، مئات الأجراس المزعجة.
الكثير من المغردين أشاروا إلى أنهم لم يعودوا ينتبهوا للرسائل الهامة كرسائل العمل أو المواعيد الصحية في ظل زحام الرسائل الدعائية.
وبحسب مغردين لا يحدد المعلن بشكل دقيق خصائص الشخص المستهدف من الرسالة، سواء كان رجلًا أو امرأة، صغير السن أو كبير.
وتساءل المغردون عن الوضع القانوني لمقدمي الخدمات الذين يرسلون وابلًا من هذه الرسائل الدعائية، ففي حالة الاتصال الإلكتروني التسويقي، يعاقب القانون القطري بفرض غرامة لا تزيد على مليون ريال، في حالة إرسال أي اتصال إلكتروني بغرض التسويق المباشر إلى الفرد، إلا بعد الحصول على موافقته المسبقة، وأبدى المغردون تساؤلاتهم عن وضع الرسائل الدعائية في ظل ذلك القانون.
