Pediatricians to Al-Sharq: Parents’ fears of vaccinating their children are unjustified

Doha: Pediatricians stressed the need to publish studies and research on the effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccines, which are free of long-term side effects, especially when applied to the 5-11 age group, with the aim of reassuring parents and families who are skeptical about the safety of vaccines for their children.

A number of doctors surveyed by Al-Sharq considered that the gradual vaccination of Covid-19 vaccines to children had health and psychological reasons, as children had an immune system capable of resisting diseases and viruses more than older adults,

The other side is the psychological aspect where manufacturers will face complete refusal by parents to give their children vaccinations before it is given to adults.

A number of doctors called for the necessity of conducting accurate scientific studies to deny or confirm the relationship of coronavirus vaccines to diseases that surfaced in adolescents in particular, including “myocardial infarction”, as there were no accurate scientific studies confirming the relationship between vaccines and adolescents’ myocardial infarction.

الدوحة: شدد أطباء أطفال على ضرورة نشر الدراسات والأبحاث المتعلقة بمدى فعالية اللقاحات المضاد لفيروس كورونا “كوفيد-19″، وخلوها من الآثار الجانبية على المدى البعيد لاسيما عند تطبيقه على الفئة العمرية من عمر 5 سنوات إلى 11 سنة، بهدف طمأنة الأهالي والأسر التي يساورها الشك حيال آمان اللقاحات على أطفالهم.

واعتبر عدد من الأطباء الذين استطلعت “الشرق” آراءهم أن التدرج في إعطاء الأطفال اللقاحات المضادة لفيروس كورونا “كوفيد-19″، أمر له أسبابه الصحية والنفسية، الصحية تتجلى في أن الأطفال يتمتعون بجهاز مناعة قادر على مقاومة الأمراض والفيروسات أكثر من البالغين من كبار السن، أما الجانب الآخر وهو الجانب النفسي حيث ستواجه الشركات المصنعة الرفض التام من قبل الأهالي على إعطاء أطفالهم اللقاحات قبل أن يتم إعطاؤه للبالغين ورصد الآثار الجانبية.

وطالب عدد من الأطباء ضرورة إجراء دراسات علمية دقيقة لنفي أو تأكيد علاقة اللقاحات المضادة لفيروس كورونا بالأمراض التي طفت على السطح لدى المراهقين على وجه الخصوص ومنها “احتشاء عضلة القلب”، حيث لم توجد دراسات علمية دقيقة تؤكد العلاقة ما بين اللقاحات وإصابة المراهقين باحتشاء عضلة القلب.
