Beijing: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended Friday evening the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympics under the slogan “Together for a Shared Future” at the National Stadium known as the”Bird’s Nest” in the People’s Republic of China’s capital Beijing.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.
The events of the opening ceremony started with a visual display of artistic and lyrical shows with the entry of flags of participating countries amid a display of fireworks.

بكين: حضر صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، مساء الأمس، حفل افتتاح دورة الألعاب الأولمبية الشتوية الرابعة والعشرين تحت شعار “معًا من أجل مستقبل مشترك” في الملعب الوطني “عش الطائر” في العاصمة بكين بجمهورية الصين الشعبية.
وحضر الافتتاح عدد من أصحاب السعادة أعضاء الوفد الرسمي المرافق لسمو الأمير.
وكانت وقائع حفل الافتتاح قد بدأت بعرض مرئي للوحات استعراضية فنية وغنائية مع دخول أعلام الدول المشاركة وسط عرض للألعاب النارية.
