QRCS Organizes Scout Volunteer Camp

Doha: The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) organized a Scout Volunteer Camp for 50 students from various schools in the State of Qatar, which included diverse activities and training courses to promote health awareness, prevention, and first-aid principles.

Organized in cooperation with KidZania Doha, the event aimed at developing children’s skills (between the age of 6 and 11), and raise health culture among them on ways to deal with emergency situations – opening wider horizons for creating a generation capable in the event of facing emergencies in their surroundings, and preparing them for any accidents that may befall them.

The event also aimed at enhancing the sense of responsibility among children, motivating them to participate widely in such awareness activities, and encouraging them to learn the steps and basics of first aid for themselves or others.

The camp also included several training workshops, in addition to a series of competitions and educational and practical workshops on humanitarian and relief work.

Held under the umbrella of the QRCS School Program, the Scout Volunteer Camp was co-organized by QRCS’s Volunteering and Local Development Division, QRCS’s Training and Development Center, and KidZania Doha, within the latter’s edutainment approach.

الدوحة: نظم الهلال الأحمر القطري فعالية /مخيم المتطوعين الأشبال/، التي شملت العديد من النشاطات والدورات التدريبية لرفع مستوى الوعي الصحي والوقائي، وتعلم مبادئ الإسعافات الأولية لفائدة 50 تلميذا وتلميذة من مختلف المدارس بالدولة.

وهدفت الفعالية، التي تم تنظيمها بالتعاون مع /كيدزانيا/ الدوحة، تنمية مهارات الأطفال، ممن تتراوح أعمارهم بين 6 سنوات و11 عاما، ونشر الثقافة الصحية بينهم حول طرق التعامل مع الحالات الطارئة، ما يفتح آفاقا أوسع لإنشاء جيل قادر على مواجهة الطوارئ في محيطه، ومهيأ للتعامل مع الحوادث التي قد تواجهه، فضلا عن تعزيز روح المسؤولية لدى الأطفال، وتحفيزهم على المشاركة الواسعة في مثل هذه النشاطات التوعوية، وتشجيعهم على تعلم خطوات وأساسيات الإسعافات الأولية للنفس أو للغير.

وتضمن المخيم أيضا عدة دورات تدريبية، منها دورة / كن مسعفا.. واصنع حقيبتك بنفسك/، إضافة إلى سلسلة من المسابقات والورش التعريفية والعملية بمجال العمل الإنساني والإغاثي.

يذكر أن مخيم المتطوعين الأشبال يندرج تحت مظلة برنامج /ومن أحياها/ الذي ينفذ بالتعاون بين قطاعي التطوع والتنمية المحلية ومركز التدريب والتطوير التابع لقطاع الشؤون الطبية في الهلال الأحمر القطري، ومدينة /كيدزانيا/ الدوحة، التي تنشط في دعم مثل هذه الفعاليات التنموية القائمة على فكرة التعلم بالترفيه.
