Ministry extends the distance learning system until January 27

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the continuation of distance learning until Jan. 27, given the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current period of increasing daily cases.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of Education said that it had decided, after continuous consultation and coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and other concerned parties, and after assessing the situation in detail and in the interest of community safety, the following:

First: The continuation of the distance learning system and the suspension of attendance of all students in all public and private schools and kindergartens until Jan. 27.

Second: The continuation of attendance of the administrative and educational staff in public and private schools and kindergartens at a rate of 100%.

Third: Conducting supplement tests for the first semester of government schools, starting from Jan. 18-27, 2022, according to the previously announced test schedules, as well as central exams in private schools according to their academic calendars, in presence in school buildings, while adhering to the precautionary measures established in this regard.

Fourth: Adopting the actual attendance system for some classes and stages on an exceptional basis at a rate of 50% of the school’s capacity, taking into account the interest of students, and in appreciation of the nature of these educational stages, with a commitment to implement all precautionary measures established in this regard, and these stages are:

1- Secondary school students, grade 12 in public schools, and grade 11 and 12 in private schools.

2- Students with special needs with disabilities, in public and private schools.

3- Students in specialized schools.

Attendance is optional for the student and the guardian.

Fifth: Adopting the actual attendance of children in nurseries at a rate of 50%, provided that it is optional for the guardian.

Sixth: Continuing attendance of students in universities and higher education institutions by 100%.

The Ministry affirmed its keenness and commitment to the continuation of the educational process in a manner commensurate with all circumstances, noting that the distance learning system is an integral part of the educational process and academic achievement, and the attendance and absence system for students will be adopted in this system.

The Ministry called on students to fully adhere to follow-up lessons remotely, and parents to follow up on their children’s attendance of lessons through the distance learning system, and to continue communication and cooperation with the school administration and educational staff.

3. Students of specialized schools.

4 . Attendance is optional for student and parents.

Fifth: Physical attendance of children in nurseries at 50% capacity, provided that it is optional for parents.

Sixth: Continuing 100% attendance of students in universities and higher education institutions.

Ministry called on students to fully adhere to lessons remotely and parents to follow up on their children’s attendance through the distance learning system and to continue communication and cooperation with the school administration and educational staff.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي، عن استمرار العمل بنظام /التعلم عن بعد/ حتى 27 يناير الجاري، نظرا للظروف الحالية المتعلقة بجائحة كورونا /كوفيد-19/، وما تشهده الفترة الحالية من تزايد الإصابات اليومية.

وأشارت وزارة التربية والتعليم، في بيان لها اليوم، إلى أنها قررت بعد التشاور والتنسيق المستمر مع وزارة الصحة العامة والجهات الأخرى المعنية، وبعد تقييم الوضع بشكل مفصل وحرصا على سلامة المجتمع، الآتي:

أولا: استمرار نظام التعلم عن بعد، وتعليق حضور جميع الطلبة في جميع المدارس ورياض الأطفال الحكومية منها والخاصة، حتى تاريخ 27 يناير الحالي.

ثانيا: استمرار حضور الكادر الإداري والتعليمي للمدارس ورياض الأطفال الحكومية والخاصة، بنسبة 100%.

ثالثا: إجراء اختبارات الملحق للفصل الدراسي الأول للمدارس الحكومية، ابتداء من تاريخ 18 يناير وحتى 27 يناير 2022، وفقا لجداول الاختبارات المعلنة مسبقا، وكذلك الاختبارات المركزية في المدارس الخاصة طبقا لتقويماتها الأكاديمية، حضوريا في المباني المدرسية، مع الالتزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية المقررة بهذا الشأن.

رابعا: اعتماد نظام الحضور الفعلي، لبعض الصفوف والمراحل بصفة استثنائية، بنسبة 50% من الطاقة الاستيعابية في المدارس، وذلك مراعاة لمصلحة الطلبة، وتقديرا لطبيعة هذه المراحل التعليمية، مع الالتزام بتطبيق كافة الإجراءات الاحترازية المقررة بهذا الشأن، وهذه المراحل هي:

1. طلبة الشهادة الثانوية، الصف الثاني عشر بالمدارس الحكومية، والصف الحادي عشر والثاني عشر بالمدارس الخاصة.

2. الطلبة ذوو الاحتياجات الخاصة من ذوي الإعاقة، في المدارس الحكومية والخاصة.

3. طلبة المدارس التخصصية.

على أن يكون الحضور اختياريا للطالب وولي الأمر.

خامسا: اعتماد الحضور الفعلي للأطفال في دور الحضانات بنسبة 50% من الطاقة الاستيعابية، على أن يكون اختياريا لولي الأمر.

سادسا: استمرار حضور طلبة الجامعات ومؤسسات التعليم العالي بنسبة 100%.

وأكدت الوزارة حرصها والتزامها باستمرار العملية التعليمية بما يتناسب مع كافة الظروف، منبهة إلى أن نظام التعلم عن بعد جزء لا يتجزأ من العملية التعليمية والتحصيل الأكاديمي، وسيتم اعتماد نظام الحضور والغياب للطلبة في هذا النظام.

ودعت الطلبة إلى الالتزام التام بمتابعة الدروس عن بعد، حرصا على مصلحتهم، وأولياء الأمور إلى متابعة حضور أبنائهم الدروس عبر نظام التعلم عن بعد، واستمرار التواصل والتعاون مع الإدارة المدرسية والكادر التعليمي.
