2021: Year of Luminous Achievements of the State of Qatar

Doha: Qatari newspapers published today described 2021 as the “year of luminous achievements” for the State of Qatar, both internally and externally in all fields.

In their editorials, the newspapers stressed that the State of Qatar has achieved great successes over the past year, at all levels in various fields, and it is entering the new year with more confidence and ambition.

For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper said that the State of Qatar, despite all the challenges facing the world, is entering the new year 2022, and it has bright successes and achievements at all levels, politically, diplomatically, economically and in sport field, which are successes that strengthened Doha’s position on the international and regional arenas, and made it an influential player in many files related to resolving conflicts and calming tensions, and an active partner in international efforts to confront global challenges, foremost of which are the efforts to address the (Covid-19) pandemic and its repercussions, as well as joint international efforts to deal with the issue of climate change.

The newspaper added that thanks to the wise policy and sound vision of the leadership in the country, the new year is coming, and Qatar is witnessing more achievements, foremost of which is the most prominent event, which is hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

On the other hand, the newspaper pointed out that the new year is approaching, and the effects of the (Covid-19) pandemic and its variants are still casting their shadows and repercussions on the world, despite the shy celebrations in different capitals, but many countries of the world are optimistic about overcoming the new wave of the virus, especially with the increasing number of those receiving vaccines, and the experiences achieved by countries in dealing with the pandemic, with the hope that the new year will witness an end to the procedures and measures imposed by the pandemic.

Al-Sharq noted that the past year, and the many challenges that humanity witnessed, was an opportunity to focus on what unites the world, and an opportunity to enhance joint cooperation for the benefit of all peoples, and the world has actually achieved some successes in this regard, but the international community still faces a lot of work and effort to do in this direction, especially after great challenges such as the Coronavirus pandemic or climate change confirmed that humanity is united by one common destiny.

For its part, Al-Raya newspaper described the year 2021 as the year of national achievements at all levels, foremost of which are health and education, in which the State of Qatar succeeded with distinction, despite the repercussions of the global crisis of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The newspaper said that the State of Qatar has proven its eligibility to achieve excellence in health and education, because they are at the top of the state’s priorities, and enjoy unlimited support from the wise leadership. The pace of achievement in these two vital sectors continued according to the highest standards and quality of performance, as the health sector was able to record important achievements, most notably its ability to confront the Coronavirus pandemic and limit the spread of the virus while maintaining the pace of providing usual health care services to all members of society, developing the health system, opening new medical facilities that achieve the concept of quality care, and gaining international confidence as advanced an sector in the region.

Al-Raya added that one of the distinguished successes achieved by the health sector during the past year was the implementation of the largest vaccination campaign in the history of the State of Qatar for citizens and residents in the country for free, as the State of Qatar ranks among the first ten countries in the world with regard to coverage in vaccination against the virus (Covid-19) compared to by its population.

The newspaper noted that Qatar was able, thanks to the efforts of the health sector and the cooperation of state agencies, to respond to the pandemic and overcome two waves of the virus, and the measures adopted by the state succeeded in limiting its spread among members of society, mitigating its effects on various aspects of life, and reducing the death rate due to complications of the disease to the minimum limits, stressing that Qatar has one of the lowest death rates from COVID-19 in the world.

Al-Raya also indicated that Qatar’s scientists contributed to the publication of many important scientific researches on the pandemic in international scientific journals.

The newspaper noted that in this context, Qatar continued to record great and ambitious achievements in the education sector, which came in line with the national development strategy and the education and training sector strategy, and the state has achieved more successes and good results at all levels related to the development of the educational process in various axes and tasks.

For its part, Al-Watan daily newspaper confirmed that the State of Qatar has achieved remarkable successes at the political and diplomatic levels during 2021, in the Gulf and Arab surroundings, regionally and internationally, Doha managed during the year to solve the region’s crises. The country’s achievements were not separated from the outside.

The paper said that the Shura Council elections, which took place on Oct. 2, 2021, came in fulfilment of the vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and represents a consolidation of the rule of law and institutions, adding that the State of Qatar did not hesitate to provide support to the relevant international institutions and to stand with the countries affected by Covid-19 pandemic during 2021.

In terms of strengthening the march of the GCC Council and the unity of the Gulf and Arab ranks in general, Al Watan noted HH the Amir participated with his brothers, the leaders of the GCC countries, and heads of delegations, in the work of the meeting of the 41st Gulf Co-operation Council Summit which was held in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia, on Jan. 5, 2021. HH the Amir also participated in the 42nd session of the Supreme Council of the GCC in Riyadh on Dec. 14.

In conclusion, Al Watan confirmed that the presence of the State of Qatar on the Arab and international levels was remarkable and influential during 2021.

الدوحة: وصفت الصحف القطرية، الصادرة اليوم، عام 2021 المنقضي بأنه كان “عام الإنجازات المضيئة” لدولة قطر على الصعيدين الداخلي والخارجي وفي كافة المجالات.

وأكدت الصحف، في افتتاحياتها، أن دولة قطر حققت نجاحات كبيرة خلال العام المنصرم، على جميع المستويات، محليا ودليا، وفي مختلف المجالات، وأنها تدخل العام الجديد بمزيد من الثقة والطموح.

فمن جانبها، قالت صحيفة /الشرق/، إن دولة قطر، ورغم كل التحديات التي تواجه العالم، تدخل العام الجديد 2022، وفي رصيدها نجاحات وإنجازات مضيئة على جميع الأصعدة، سياسياً ودبلوماسياً واقتصادياً ورياضياً، حققتها خلال العام المنصرم، وهي نجاحات عززت من مكانة الدوحة على الخارطة الدولية والإقليمية، وجعلتها لاعبا مؤثرا في العديد من الملفات المتعلقة بحل النزاعات وتهدئة التوترات، وشريكا فاعلا في الجهود الدولية الرامية لمواجهة التحديات العالمية وفي مقدمتها جهود التصدي لجائحة /كوفيد-19/ وتداعياتها، وكذلك الجهود الدولية المشتركة للتعامل مع قضية تغير المناخ.

وأضافت أنه بفضل السياسة الحكيمة والرؤية السديدة للقيادة في الدولة، يأتي العام الجديد، وقطر على موعد مع المزيد من الإنجازات، وفي مقدمتها الحدث الأبرز وهو استضافة بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 ، التي ستكون استثنائية من المونديال جرى ويجري الإعداد لها بخطط محكمة ومبدعة، ليصبح هذا الحدث علامة تاريخية فارقة في استضافة بطولات كأس العالم بما يعكس لشعوب العالم ثقافة وتراث وقيم المنطقة ويسهم في التعرف على المنطقة ويعزز روح التعاون المشترك والتعايش والتآلف بين الشعوب.

وأشارت الصحيفة، من جهة أخرى، إلى أن العام الجديد يهل، ولا تزال تأثيرات جائحة /كوفيد-19/ ومتحوراته تلقي بظلالها وتداعياتها على العالم، رغم الاحتفالات الخجولة هنا وهناك، لكن الكثير من دول العالم تتفاءل خيراً بتجاوز الموجة الجديدة من الفيروس، خصوصاً مع اتساع دائرة الحاصلين على اللقاحات، والتجارب التي حققتها الدول في التعامل مع الجائحة، مع ازدياد الأمل في أن يشهد العام الجديد وضع حد ونهاية للإجراءات والتدابير التي فرضتها الجائحة.

ونوهت /الشرق/ إلى أن العام المنصرم، وما شهدته البشرية من تحديات عديدة خلاله، كان فرصة للتركيز على ما يجمع ويوحد العالم، وفرصة لتعزيز التعاون المشترك لمصلحة جميع الشعوب، وقد حقق العالم فعلا بعض النجاحات في الصدد، غير أنه لا يزال أمام المجتمع الدولي الكثير من العمل والجهد ليبذله في هذا الاتجاه، خصوصاً بعد أن أكدت التحديات الكبيرة مثل جائحة كورونا أو تغير المناخ، أن البشرية يجمعها مصير واحد مشترك.

من جانبها، وصفت صحيفة /الراية/ عام 2021 بعام الإنجازات الوطنيّة على جميع المستويات، وفي مقدمتها الصحة والتعليم، اللذين نجحت دولة قطر فيهما بامتياز، رغم تداعيات أزمة وباء كورونا عالميًا.

وقالت الصحيفة إن دولة قطر، التي تستشرف عامًا جديدًا على طريق البذل والعطاء، أثبتت أحقيتها وجدارتها بتحقيق التميّز والإبداع في الصحة والتعليم، لأنهما على رأس أولويات الدولة، ويحظيان بدعم لا محدود من القيادة الرشيدة، وقد استمرّت وتيرة الإنجاز في هذين القطاعين الحيويين وفق أعلى معايير وجودة الأداء، حيث تمكّن القطاع الصحي من تحقيق إنجازات هامة، أبرزها قدرته على مجابهة جائحة كورونا /كوفيد-19/ والحدّ من انتشار الفيروس مع الحفاظ على نسق تقديم خدمات الرعاية الصحيّة المعتادة لجميع أفراد المجتمع، وتطوير المنظومة الصحية وافتتاح مرافق ومنشآت طبية جديدة تحقق مفهوم جودة الرعاية، والحصول على الثقة الدوليّة كمنشآت متطوّرة في المنطقة.

وأضافت أن من النجاحات المتميزة التي حققها القطاع الصحي خلال العام المنصرم، تنفيذ أكبر حملة تلقيح في تاريخ دولة قطر للمواطنين والمقيمين في البلاد مجانًا، حيث تصنف دولة قطر ضمن الدول العشر الأولى عالميًا فيما يتعلق بالتغطية في التلقيح ضد فيروس /كوفيد- 19/ مقارنة بعدد سكانها.

وأشارت إلى أن قطر تمكنت، بفضل جهود القطاع الصحي وتعاون أجهزة الدولة، من الاستجابة للجائحة وتخطي موجتين من الوباء، ونجحت الإجراءات التي تبنتها الدولة في الحدّ من انتشاره بين أفراد المجتمع وتخفيف آثاره على شتى نواحي الحياة، وتقليل معدل الوفيات بسبب مضاعفات المرض إلى الحدود الدنيا، حيث سجلت قطر أحد أدنى معدلات الوفيات الناجمة عن /كوفيد-19/ في العالم.

كما أوضحت /الراية/ أن علماء قطر ساهموا في نشر العديد من البحوث العلمية الهامة بشأن الجائحة في المجلات العلمية العالميّة.. منوهة إلى أنه رغم التحديات والصعاب التي واجهت الأنظمة التعليمية في العالم بسبب الجائحة، إلا أن قطر تمكنت من تجاوز تلك الأزمة، حيث اتخذت سلسلة من الإجراءات العاجلة مكنتها من تجاوز الأزمة من خلال استعدادات مبكرة كفلت استمرار العملية التعليميّة بكفاءة عالية.

وأشارت إلى أنه في هذا الإطار واصلت قطر تحقيق الإنجازات الكبيرة والطموحة التي حققتها في قطاع التربية والتعليم التي جاءت مواكبة لاستراتيجية التنمية الوطنيّة واستراتيجية قطاع التعليم والتدريب، وحققت الدولة المزيد من النجاحات والنتائج الطيبة على كافة الصعد ذات الصلة بتطوير العملية التعليميّة في شتى المحاور والمهام، “فقطر تعيش نهضتها الصحيّة والتعليميّة التي أصبحت مثالًا يحتذى في المنطقة والعالم”.

وبدورها، أكدت صحيفة /الوطن/ أن دولة قطر حققت خلال عام 2021 نجاحات لافتة على الصعيدين السياسي والدبلوماسي، في محيطها الخليجي والعربي، وإقليميا ودوليا، وبرزت الدوحة خلال هذا العام – بقدرتها على إدارة وحل أزمات المنطقة مدعومة بثقة الصديق والشقيق – شريكا أساسيا في صنع القرار العالمي.

وأشارت إلى أن تنظيم انتخابات مجلس الشورى، التي جرت في الثاني من أكتوبر 2021 تحقيقا لرؤية حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى “حفظه الله ورعاه” يعتبر من أبرز الإنجازات، ويمثل ترسيخا لدولة القانون والمؤسسات.. لافتة كذلك إلى أن دولة قطر لم تتوان في تقديم الدعم للمؤسسات الدولية المعنية والوقوف مع الدول المتأثرة بجائحة فيروس كورنا /كوفيد-19/ خلال 2021.

وعلى صعيد تعزيز مسيرة مجلس التعاون ووحدة الصف الخليجي والعربي بشكل عام، أبرزت الصحيفة مشاركة حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى مع إخوانه قادة دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، ورؤساء الوفود، في أعمال اجتماع الدورة الحادية والأربعين للمجلس الأعلى لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، التي عقدت بمركز مرايا في محافظة العلا بالمملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة يوم 5 يناير 2021، ومشاركة سموه في الدورة الثانية والأربعين للمجلس الأعلى لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، التي عقدت في قصر الدرعية بمدينة الرياض بالمملكة العربية السعودية يوم 14 ديسمبر المنصرم.

كما أكدت /الوطن/، في الختام،/ أن حضور دولة قطر عربيا ودوليا كان لافتا ومؤثرا كذلك خلال عام 2021.
