Amir, Turkish President Chair 7th Session of Supreme Strategic Committee

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan chaired the 7th Session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey held at the Amiri Diwan on Tuesday morning.
At the beginning of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed HE the Turkish President, and the accompanying delegation. HH the Amir noted the importance of the Supreme Strategic Committee sessions and the meetings of the two countries’ officials in consolidating the Qatari-Turkish strategic partnership, hoping that the agreements that will be signed between the two sides contribute to achieving the interests of the two brotherly peoples in various fields
For his part, HE the Turkish President expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for the warm reception and hospitality he and the accompanying delegation received. His Excellency stressed that this session will enhance the existing joint cooperation between the two countries in various areas of partnership.
His Excellency invited HH the Amir for the 8th session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the two countries which will be held in Turkey next year.
During the meeting, HH the Amir and HE the Turkish President discussed ways to consolidate and develop the strategic cooperation relations between Qatar and Turkey and the prospects for enhancing them at various levels, especially in the economy, investment, industry, defense, and security, endowments, media, culture, and sports fields.
HH the Amir and HE the Turkish President had held a bilateral meeting, during which they exchanged views on the latest regional and international situations of common interest.
The session was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani and a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers.
On the Turkish side, the session was attended by Their Excellencies the Ministers, and members of the official delegation accompanying HE the President.
An official reception ceremony was held for HE the Turkish President.

الدوحة: ترأس حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، وأخوه فخامة الرئيس رجب طيب أردوغان رئيس الجمهورية التركية الشقيقة، اجتماع الدورة السابعة للجنة الاستراتيجية العليا بين دولة قطر والجمهورية التركية الذي عقد بالديوان الأميري، صباح الأمس.
وفي بداية الاجتماع رحب سمو الأمير المفدى، بفخامة الرئيس التركي والوفد المرافق منوها بأهمية اجتماعات اللجنة العليا وبلقاءات مسؤولي البلدين من أجل تحقيق أهدافها في توطيد الشراكة الاستراتيجية القطرية التركية، متطلعًا سموه إلى أن تسهم الاتفاقيات التي ستوقع بين الجانبين في تحقيق ما يطمح له الشعبان الشقيقان من مصالح في مختلف المجالات.
من جانبه، أعرب فخامة الرئيس التركي عن شكره وتقديره لسمو الأمير المفدى على حفاوة الاستقبال وكرم الضيافة اللذين لقيهما والوفد المرافق، مؤكدًا فخامته بأن هذه الدورة ستعزز التعاون المشترك القائم بين البلدين الشقيقين في مختلف مجالات الشراكة، داعيا فخامته، سمو الأمير المفدى للدورة الثامنة للجنة الاستراتيجية العليا بين البلدين في تركيا العام القادم.
وبحث سمو الأمير وفخامة الرئيس التركي خلال الاجتماع سبل توطيد وتطوير علاقات التعاون الاستراتيجية بين قطر وتركيا وآفاق الارتقاء بها على مختلف الصعد خصوصا الاقتصاد والاستثمار والصناعة والدفاع والأمن ومجال الأوقاف والإعلام والثقافة والرياضة.
وكان سمو الأمير المفدى وفخامة الرئيس التركي قد عقدا اجتماعًا ثنائيا، تبادلا خلاله الآراء ووجهات النظر حول مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية والدولية محل الاهتمام المشترك.
حضر اجتماع اللجنة معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية وعدد من أصحاب السعادة الوزراء، وحضره من الجانب التركي أصحاب السعادة الوزراء أعضاء الوفد الرسمي المرافق لفخامة الرئيس.
وكانت قد جرت لفخامة الرئيس التركي مراسم استقبال رسمي.
