Doha Festive Lightings 2023 Kicks Off within Beautification of Cities Scope

Doha: The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’, along with Qatar Tourism and Qatar Museums, and in cooperation with Doha Expo 2023 Organizing Committee, are organizing Doha Festive Lightings 2023 with the slogan “Qatar between Past and Present” starting from Dec. 8-31 at Al Masrah Park and Corniche Pedestrian Tunnel Plaza near Qatar National Museum.

The festival is characterized by its unique location that is close to the location of Doha Expo 2023, which allows visitors of the global event to learn about Qatar’s culture and customs. The location of Al Masrah Park was chosen because of its facilitated access by metro and its connectivity to Doha Corniche, as well as the park’s spectacular view that ensures the visitors an exceptional experience within a special family-oriented environment.

A joint statement of the organizing committee of the Doha Festive Lightings 2023 outlined that the festival includes several interactive lightings, and a series of activities that celebrate Qatari culture, Qatar’s marine life and wildlife and highlight technological development. These activities include the Dancing Fountain in Corniche Plaza, Path of Pearls in the pedestrian tunnel linking Doha Corniche to Al Masrah Park, which includes Tales of The Sea tunnel, The Maze, Dome of Nomadic Skies, Dome of Pearl Wonders, and the Digital Journey (Hologram).

The organizers affirmed that Doha is a vibrant destination and adding more than 40 new public art installations will further transform the city into a dynamic urban canvas that serves to spark conversations and provide sources of inspiration for all.

They stated that this cooperation offers distinguished experiences for residents and visitors that reflect the culture of the State of Qatar, pointing out that the event will add to the beauty of the surrounding area which is already marked by some of Qatar’s most prominent tourism attractions, as Qatar continues to offer a diverse and distinct tourism to its residents as well as international visitors.

They reiterated their keenness to offer innovative designs that provide visitors with the experience of enjoying amazing shows and making this edition unique with new elements where the designs that are inspired by the Qatari environment shed light on Qatar’s wildlife and marine life through technological development.

وتقام الفعالية في موقع مميز قريب من فضاء /إكسبو 2023 الدوحة/ بحديقة البدع، الذي يتيح الفرصة لزوار الحدث العالمي للتعرف على ثقافة وعادات دولة قطر.

وتم اختيار الموقع في حديقة المسرح لسهولة الوصول إليه عن طريق المترو ولاتصالها بكورنيش الدوحة، فضلا عن إطلالة الحديقة التي تضمن لرواد هذه الفعالية تجربة مميزة ضمن أجواء عائلية مختلفة عن النسخ السابقة.

وأوضح بيان مشترك للجهات المنظمة لـ/إضاءة الدوحة 2023/، أن هذه الفعالية تتضمن عددا من الإضاءات التفاعلية والتي تشمل سلسلة من الأنشطة تحتفي بالثقافة القطرية، والبيئة البحرية والبرية في قطر، كما تلقي الضوء على التطور التكنولوجي. وتضم هذه الأنشطة النافورة التفاعلية في ساحة الكورنيش، ودرب اللؤلؤ في نفق المشاة الذي يربط كورنيش الدوحة بحديقة المسرح والذي يضم روايات العالم البحري، والمتاهة، إضافة إلى قبة نجوم الصحراء، وقبة عجائب اللؤلؤ، والرحلة الرقمية (Hologram).

كما أكد المنظمون أن الدوحة وجهة نابضة بالحياة، والفن العام يحول المدينة إلى لوحة حضرية ديناميكية، ما يجعلها حديث الموسم ومصدر إلهام للجمهور من كافة الأعمار.

وشددوا على تعزيز العادات والتقاليد القطرية، مشيرين إلى أن هذه الفعالية، تأتي من أجل إثراء المشهد الثقافي وإبرازه لكافة أفراد المجتمع، فضلا عن إتاحة الفرصة لزوار الحدث العالمي /إكسبو 2023 الدوحة/، للتعرف على الثقافة القطرية بصورة تكنولوجية حديثة متطورة.

وذكروا أن هذا التعاون المشترك، يقدم للمقيمين والزوار تجارب مميزة تعكس ثقافة دولة قطر، منوهين بأن هذه الفعالية ستضفي المزيد من الجمال على المنطقة المحيطة بمكان إقامته والتي تتميز ببعض أبزر مناطق الجذب السياحي في البلاد.

وجددوا حرصهم على تقديم تصاميم مبتكرة تمنح الزوار تجربة الاستمتاع بعروض مذهلة، حيث تعمل التصاميم المستوحاة من البيئة القطرية على إلقاء الضوء على الحياة البرية والبحرية في قطر بإبرازها من خلال التطور التكنلوجي، بالإضافة إلى استخدام تقنية الذكاء الاصطناعي في الـ(Hologram)، حيث سيقوم الراوي بتعزيز الثقافة القطرية ورواية قصة عن قطر بين الحاضر والماضي.

وأعربوا عن أملهم في تحقيق المزيد من التعاون المشترك والمضي قدما في هذه الشراكة المثمرة، منوهين بأن هذه النسخة ستكون استثنائية تحتوي على عناصر جديدة وحصرية.
