QSTSS Boys Wins First Place in GCC Competition

Doha: Qatar School of Science and Technology for Boys won first place for the best scientific project in the virtual Gulf competition “Future Science Challenge,” organized by the Hamdan Bin Rashid Center for Giftedness and Innovation of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance for talented students in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
The school’s winning scientific project is entitled “The Sixth Sense,” which is an electronic device meant to help the blind get to know the environment around them.
The participation of the Qatar School of Science and Technology for Boys in this competition came within the framework of its sponsorship programs for its talented students and to motivate students to be creative and innovative, develop their diverse skills and build their creative and competitive capabilities at the global level.
The Future Science Challenge competition aims to promote learning the principles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) by focusing on interdisciplinary learning methods for talented and outstanding students in science and technology fields.

الدوحة: حصدت مدرسة قطر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا للبنين، المركز الأول لجائزة أفضل مقدم مشروع علمي في المسابقة الخليجية الافتراضية /تحدي علوم المستقبل/ التي نظمها مركز حمدان بن راشد للموهبة والابتكار التابع لمؤسسة حمدان بن راشد آل مكتوم للأداء التعليمي المتميز، للطلبة الموهوبين في دول مجلس التعاون لدول لخليج العربية.
ويحمل مشروع المدرسة العلمي الفائز عنوان /الحاسة السادسة/ وهو عبارة عن جهاز إلكتروني يعنى بمساعدة المكفوفين للتعرف على البيئة المحيطة بهم.
جاءت مشاركة مدرسة قطر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا للبنين في هذه المسابقة، في إطار برامج رعايتها لطلبتها الموهوبين، وسعيا منها نحو تحفيز الطلاب على الإبداع والابتكار، وتطوير مهاراتهم المتنوعة، وبناء قدراتهم الإبداعية والتنافسية على المستوى العالمي.
يذكر أن مسابقة /تحدي علوم المستقبل/ تهدف إلى تعزيز تعلم مبادئ الذكاء الاصطناعي، وإنترنت الأشياء عبر التركيز على أساليب التعلم متعدد التخصصات للطلبة الموهوبين والمتفوقين في مجال العلوم والتكنولوجيا.
