Kuwait Wins UNESCO Executive Board Vice-President’s Position

Paris: The State of Kuwait won the position of Vice-President in the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Kuwai’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO Dr. Adam Al-Mulla said in a statement carried by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the State of Kuwait won the position of Vice-President after obtaining the recommendation of the members of the Arab group in the Board.
He stressed that this recommendation and the confidence of the Arab group countries confirm the position enjoyed by the State of Kuwait and the role it plays in advancing the wheel of development towards building a society with a high educational status.
Kuwait won a seat in UNESCO Executive Board for the period 2021-2025 at the 41st General Conference held on November 17 in the French capital of Paris to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of organization.

باريس: فازت دولة الكويت بمنصب نائب رئيس المجلس التنفيذي لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة /اليونسكو/.
وقال الدكتور آدم الملا مندوب الكويت الدائم لدى المنظمة، في تصريحات نقلتها وكالة الأنباء الكويتية، إن فوز الكويت بالمنصب جاء بعد حصولها على تزكية أعضاء المجموعة العربية بالمجلس، مضيفا أن هذه التزكية وثقة دول المجموعة العربية تؤكدان المكانة التي تتمتع بها الكويت والدور الذي توليه لدفع عجلة التنمية نحو بناء مجتمع ذو مكانة تعليمية عالية.
يذكر أن الكويت فازت بمقعد في المجلس التنفيذي لمنظمة اليونسكو للفترة 2021-2025 في المؤتمر العام الـ 41 الذي عقد في وقت سابق من شهر نوفمبر الحالي بالعاصمة الفرنسية باريس في الذكرى ال 75 لتأسيس المنظمة الدولية.
