Qatar Tourism Announces Start of Public Vote for “Iconic Limousine Design” Competition

Doha: Qatar Tourism in partnership with Mowasalat (Karwa) has announced the start of the voting period for its “Iconic Limousine Design” competition.

With over 450 submissions, the contest has seen overwhelming participation from citizens and residents. Qatar Tourisms committee reviewed each entry, shortlisting 20 designs that best reflect the competitions themes: Qatars culture and heritage, progressive future, as well as sustainability and eco-friendly vision.

The public vote will take place from 23rd November to 14th December 2021. The design which garners the most public votes will receive the “People’s Design Choice” award. A jury panel will also evaluate the shortlisted designs and select the winning design which will be featured on Qatar’s Iconic Limousines.

Chief Operating Officer Qatar Tourism Berthold Trenkel said that this design contest is part of Qatar Tourisms efforts to celebrate the country’s cultural identity and heritage. As part of Qatar Tourisms Service Excellence program, this iconic limousine service will be a visual representation of the country for visitors, he added.

Qatar Tourism works closely with stakeholders across the public and private sector to develop products and services that enhance the visitor experience. The entitys partnership with Mowasalat is an example of that, fostering collaboration and ensuring a seamless journey, with luxury and excellence at each touchpoint.

الدوحة: أعلن جهاز قطر للسياحة، بالتعاون مع شركة مواصلات /كروة/، عن بدء مرحلة التصويت في مسابقة /تصميما لليموزين الأيقونة/.

وقد شهدت المسابقة مشاركة من قبل المواطنين والمقيمين، حيث تم تقديم أكثر من 450 تصميما تمت مراجعتها من قبل اللجنة المختصة، ونجح 20 تصميما منها في الوصول إلى القائمة المختصرة، وهي التصميمات التي تعكس ثقافة قطر وتراثها، ومستقبل قطر المتنامي، ودعم رؤية قطر المتعلقة بالاستدامة والمشاريع الصديقة للبيئة.

وبدأت منذ أمس /الثلاثاء/ عملية تصويت الجمهور على هذه التصاميم وتتواصل حتى 14 ديسمبر المقبل، ليحصل التصميم الحائز على أعلى نسبة تصويت على /جائزة اختيار الجمهور/، بينما ستقوم لجنة التحكيم بتقييم القائمة المختصرة لاختيار التصميم الذي سيزين /الليموزين الأيقونة/.

وبخصوص هذه المسابقة، قال السيد بيرثهولد ترينكل، الرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات في جهاز قطر للسياحة، في تصريحات، إن مسابقة التصميم تعد جزءا من جهود الجهاز للاحتفاء بثقافة قطر وتراثها، مشيرا إلى أن هذه المسابقة، التي تأتي تحت مظلة برنامج /التميز في الخدمة/ التابع لقطر للسياحة، ستكون بمثابة تجسيد لثقافة قطر أمام الزوار.

وأوضح أن قطر للسياحة يعمل عن كثب مع شركائه في القطاعين العام والخاص لتطوير المنتجات والخدمات السياحية التي تعزز تجربة الزوار، كما أن شراكته مع شركة مواصلات /كروة/ هي خير دليل على ذلك، حيث يتم التعاون في ما بينهم لضمان رحلة سلسة ومليئة بالرفاهية والتميز في كل مراحلها.
