Education Ministry announces probe results on school teacher giving pills
وزارة التربية تعلن نتائج التحقيق بشأن واقعة قيام إحدى المعلمات بتوزيع حبوب مهدئة

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, out of its responsibility to maintain the health and safety of all students, confirmed that it has taken all measures to investigate the incident of a private school teacher handing pills to four students. The administration of the concerned private school dismissed the teacher and terminated her services, in conformity with the regulations preventing any teacher from distributing medicines to students except for the school nurse and after referring to the parents.
In a press release, the Ministry stated that the investigation had included all parties concerned with this unfortunate and isolated incident; the teacher, the school administration and a random sample of students, as well as the students who took the pills. They all confirmed that the incident is the first and had never happened before. Information was shared with the competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior that joined the investigation and the follow-up of the laboratory examination of the pills. The results showed that the pills are free from narcotics and prohibited substances.
The Ministry indicated that, following strict instructions to enforce all regulations to ensure the safety of students, the act of the teacher was individual, stressing that it would never tolerate such a behavior. The Ministry reassured parents and all stakeholders in education on the sound health and safety of the school environment.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education hereby calls on everyone to establish direct communication with the Ministry to verify the authenticity of the remarks made by the public and to launch the appropriate investigations.

الدوحة: أكدت وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي أنها – ومن منطلق مسؤوليتها عن صحة وسلامة جميع أبنائنا من الطلاب والطالبات – قامت باتخاذ كافة إجراءات التحقيق في واقعة قيام إحدى معلمات المدارس الخاصة بإعطاء حبوب لعدد 4 طالبات، حيث قامت إدارة المدرسة الخاصة بفصل المعلمة وإنهاء خدماتها؛ تطبيقاً للنظم واللوائح التي تمنع أي معلم من إعطاء أدوية للطلبة باستثناء ممرض المدرسة وبعد الرجوع إلى أولياء الأمور.
وأوضحت في بيان صحفي أن التحقيق شمل جميع الأطراف المعنية بهذه الواقعة الفردية المؤسفة؛ بما في ذلك المعلمة وإدارة المدرسة وعينة عشوائية من الطلبة، وكذلك الطالبات اللاتي تناولن هذه الحبوب، وقد أكدوا جميعاً أن هذه الحادثة تعتبر الأولى ولم تحصل مسبقاً، كما تم التنسيق والمشاركة مع الجهات المختصة بوزارة الداخلية للوصول إلى نتائج التحقيق والفحص المخبري للحبوب المذكورة، والتي أظهرت أنها خالية من المواد المخدرة والمحظورة قانوناً.
وأشارت الوزارة -في ظل التعليمات المشددة بتطبيق كافة النظم واللوائح لضمان أمن وسلامة الطلبة- أن ما قامت به المعلمة هو تصرف فردي، مؤكدة أنها لن تتهاون مع مثل هذه التصرفات، وطمأنت أولياء الأمور وجميع شركاء العملية التربوية والتعليمية على صحة وسلامة البيئة المدرسية.
وحرصاً على الاستقرار وعدم التسبب بأية مخاوف للمجتمع، تهيب وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي بالجميع إلى أهمية التواصل المباشر معها؛ لتقوم بدورها في التثبت والتحقق من أي ملاحظات يتم رصدها من قبل الجمهور.
