Minister of Sports and Youth Inaugurates Al Majd Girls Center in Al Shamal

Doha: HE Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, inaugurated, on Monday, Al Majd Girls Center in Al Shamal, as part of the Ministry’s plan to open centers for youth and girls in many regions of the country.

His Excellency toured the center, where he was briefed on the facilities, sections, activities and programs offered by the Center.

The Director of Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Maha Al Rumaihi, said that the opening of a special center for girls in Al Shamal comes in support of the Ministry’s goals and competencies aimed at taking care of all youth groups and reaching young people in all parts of the country, by providing a safe and advanced environment at a level worthy of girls in the State of Qatar.

For her part, the Director of Al Majd Girls Center Haya Al-Kubaisi, said that the center seeks to inculcate positive values that fit the culture of Qatari society, develop the skills and capabilities of girls, develop their talents and invest in their energies, in addition to meeting the communitys needs by providing qualitative programs, activities and initiatives, to build healthy personalities with conscious thought and authentic religious and social values.

الدوحة: افتتح سعادة السيد صلاح بن غانم العلي وزير الرياضة والشباب، يوم أمس، مركز المجد للفتيات في منطقة الشمال، وذلك في إطار خطة الوزارة لافتتاح مراكز للشباب والفتيات في العديد من مناطق الدولة.

وقام سعادة وزير الرياضة والشباب بجولة داخل المركز اطلع خلالها على المرافق والأقسام والأنشطة والبرامج التي يقدمها مركز فتيات المجد.

بدورها، قالت الأستاذة مها الرميحي مدير إدارة الشؤون الشبابية بوزارة الرياضة والشباب، إن افتتاح مركز خاص للفتيات بمنطقة الشمال يأتي تعزيزا لأهداف واختصاصات الوزارة الرامية إلى الاهتمام بكافة الفئات الشبابية والوصول إلى الشباب في جميع أنحاء الدولة، وذلك من خلال توفير بيئة آمنة ومتطورة وبمستوى يليق بفتيات دولة قطر وبما يعود عليهن بالمنفعة والفائدة في نفس الوقت.

من جانبها، قالت السيدة هيا الكبيسي مديرة مركز المجد للفتيات، إن المركز يسعى إلى غرس القيم والاتجاهات الإيجابية التي تناسب ثقافة المجتمع القطري، وتطوير مهارات وقدرات الفتيات وتنمية مواهبهن واستثمار طاقاتهن، بالإضافة إلى تلبية احتياجات المجتمع بتقديم البرامج والأنشطة والمبادرات النوعية، لبناء شخصيات سليمة تتحلى بفكر واع وقيم دينية واجتماعية أصيلة، إلى جانب اكتشاف المواهب والطاقات وتوجيهها.

ونوهت بأن المركز يقدم عدة برامج ومبادرات وأنشطة وفعاليات تخدم المنطقة وهي برامج ثقافية، اجتماعية، دينية، صحية، بالإضافة إلى برامج وطنية ورياضية وتكنولوجية وتجميلية، فنية، علمية، تراثية، وترفيهية.
