Amir visits Doha Central Development Project
صاحب السمو يطّلع على مشروع تطوير «الدوحة المركزية»

Doha: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited the site of the development of central Doha and Al Corniche Street project, carried out by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).
During the visit today, HH the Amir saw the designs and models of materials used in the develop-ment of roads and tunnels in central Doha, as well as the main bike lanes and development work in the Corniche.
HH the Amir was also briefed by senior officials from the Ministry of Municipal and Environment and Ashghal on the new roads, their smart lighting system and new environmentally electrical control units, as well as how the new roads will portray the spirit and identity of central Doha, in addition to the vast walking and cycling areas they will provide.
HH the Amir was accompanied by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani.
اطّلع حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، صباح أمس، على مشروع تطوير منطقة الدوحة المركزية وشارع الكورنيش، الذي تنفذه هيئة الأشغال العامة «أشغال».
وشاهد سمو الأمير، خلال الزيارة، التصاميم والرسومات ونماذج من المواد المستخدمة في مشروع التطوير، والمشاريع المستقبلية لطرق منطقة الدوحة المركزية والأنفاق ومسارات الدراجات الهوائية الرئيسية وتطوير الكورنيش.
كما استمع سموه إلى موجز من كبار المسؤولين بوزارة البلدية والبيئة و»أشغال» عن الشوارع الجديدة وما تتميز به من إنارة ذكية ووحدات تحكم كهربائية جديدة صديقة للبيئة، تبرز الطابع العمراني لمنطقة قلب الدوحة وهويتها الخاصة، بالإضافة إلى ما توفره من مساحات للمشاة والدراجات الهوائية.
رافق سموه خلال الزيارة لمنطقة عرض المشروع في ساحة النجادة، معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية.
