Qatar Participates in 4th edition of the Paris Peace Forum

Paris: The State of Qatar participated in the 4th edition of the Paris Peace Forum, held in Paris, in the presence of more than 30 heads of state and government, as well as heads and directors of various international organizations and delegations of more than 130 countries.
The delegation of the State of Qatar was headed by HE the Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The Forum, which witnessed the organization of more than 70 panel discussions, was opened by French President Emmanuel Macron with a speech in which he stressed the importance of collective and joint international action to find solutions to the challenges of Covid-19 pandemic, as well as a number of important international issues, including human rights and the protection of journalists and migrants and the climate change.
The forum also witnessed an important participation of Qatar Foundation, as a strategic partner for the work of this edition. It has organized many events on the sidelines of the official work of this major international event.
HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, also participated in the forum.
It is worth noting that the fourth edition of the Paris Peace Forum, in which world decision-makers participated, discussed, from Thursday, until Saturday, several files that dealt with international political, economic and social issues.

باريس: شاركت دولة قطر في أعمال الدورة الرابعة لمنتدى باريس للسلام المنعقد في باريس، بحضور أكثر من 30 رئيس دولة وحكومة، إلى جانب رؤساء ومدراء مختلف المنظمات الدولية ووفود أكثر من 130 دولة.
ترأس وفد دولة قطر في المنتدى سعادة الشيخ عبدالرحمن بن حمد بن جاسم بن حمد آل ثاني وزير الثقافة.
وافتتح المنتدى، الذي شهد تنظيم أكثر من 70 حلقة نقاشية، الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون بكلمة أكد فيها على أهمية العمل الدولي الجماعي والمشترك لإيجاد حلول للتحديات التي فرضتها جائحة كورونا /كوفيد-19/، ولعدد من القضايا الدولية الهامة من بينها حقوق الإنسان وحماية الصحفيين والمهاجرين والتغيير المناخي.
وشهد المنتدى أيضا مشاركة مهمة لمؤسسة قطر، بصفتها شريكا استراتيجيا لأعمال الدورة الرابعة لمنتدى باريس للسلام، حيث نظمت العديد من الفعاليات على هامش الأعمال الرسمية لهذه التظاهرة الدولية الكبرى.
كما شارك سعادة الشيخ علي بن جاسم آل ثاني، سفير دولة قطر لدى الجمهورية الفرنسية، في أعمال الدورة الرابعة للمنتدى.
جدير بالذكر أن النسخة الرابعة من منتدى باريس للسلام، الذي أطلق في عام 2018، بحثت منذ /الخميس/ وحتى يوم /السبت/، ملفات عدة تناولت عدة رهانات سياسية واقتصادية واجتماعية دولية، بحضور ومشاركة صناع القرار في العالم.
